In recent years,the academic circles have continued to study Liu Zhenyun’s novels,ranging from language studies to text studies,and even film and television studies.Liu Zhenyun has a great influence in the literary world with his humorous style and irony.Her works see the truth in the absurd,but also through the heavy and gloomy tragedy,and let his works see the sadness in the humor.From the writing misery and creating sadness of the early works to the absurd narrative and lonely presentation of the later works,it embodies the author’s sense of humanistic care.The absurd text also envelops the author’s speculation and the existence and concern of people.Thinking of value positioning."Tragedy" as an aesthetic feature,in Liu Zhenyun’s novels embodies the tragedies of death and life written by the author,the tragedies of human suffering and fate and falling into an absurd situation,and the tragedies of human nature exploration and search.Throughout Liu Zhenyun’s novels,he has a deep understanding and recognition of the themes of death,destiny,and humanity in his early and late works.Therefore,by analyzing the tragic evolution of the theme in Liu Zhenyun’s novels,we can further analyze the humanistic care embodied in Liu Zhenyun’s tragic writing.Not only that,as an artistic feature,"tragic" presents different narrative characteristics in Liu Zhenyun’s narrative characteristics in different periods.Therefore,this paper is mainly divided into four parts:The first part is the introduction to the tragic performance of literature in the new era,and from this,it summarizes the tragic characteristics of Liu Zhenyun’s works.The tragic writing of literature in the new era has experienced a process from the outside to the inside,from the shallow to the deep.It gradually shifts from focusing on the suffering and misery of life to the excavation of human spirit and inner sadness.The tragic nature of the new era literature is constantly deepening,which means The writers’ concern for the survival of modern humans and the concern for the meaning of life.Under such a literary background,the tragic nature of Liu Zhenyun’s works has continued to deepen with the period of the work,from describing the tragedy of suffering to the writing of absurdity and loneliness.The first chapter adopts the method of close reading of the text to analyze the tragic connotation evolution of Liu Zhenyun’s novel theme in detail.Throughout Liu Zhenyun’s works,death,destiny,and humanity have always been the themes of his writing.In the early works,death means resistance to desperate reality.It is often combined with images such as "red wreaths" and "graves" to represent the hope of life.However,when writing death,the author often has a sense of guilt projected on the characters.This sense of guilt is related to the author’s incomplete understanding of the current reality,the guilt of leaving home,and the anxiety of identity.The author’s writing about death is not just about writing itself,but also about finding the release of guilt through the process of death and after death.In the later works,the author jumped out of the meaning of life disappearing,and achieved the importance of life and the search for the true meaning of life by presenting the tragic phenomenon of death.And then,the second chapter of this article combines narratology,linguistics and other research methods to discuss the tragic evolution of the writing art of Liu Zhenyun’s themes.On the one hand,it reflects the characteristics of narration.In the early novels,Liu Zhenyun presented the characteristics of tragic narration by creating a poetic atmosphere and writing tragic circumstances.And from the narrative perspective,the novels of this period are mostly based on zero-focus and internal-focused writing perspectives,depicting the psychological activities of the characters with a large number of monologues and inner details.In addition,Liu Zhenyun’s early works portrayed the images of peasants living in suffering and rural women with tragic fate,which also shows that Liu Zhenyun started thinking from the perspective of civilians at the beginning of his writing.In the later novels,the tragic narrative turns into an absurd narrative.Absurdity is not only a living situation,but also a narrative method.In the absurd narrative,it is divided into two stages.The first stage is the compassion in the absurdity,and the second stage is the absurdity with various irony techniques.As the author’s understanding of the world and life continues to deepen the sense of absurdity,the tragic nature of the works also increases.On the other hand,it is reflected in the theme color of the work,which is changed from warm to cold.As the color sense of the text weakens,it means the absurdity of life and the concealment of human subjectivity.The gray literary consciousness presented in the later works not only shows the gloomy life and the bitter fate of small characters,but also the author’s pursuit of "people" and the pursuit of humanity.Finally,the third chapter discusses the underlying causes of tragic writing.On the one hand,the experience of poverty and death in childhood,the lack of family affection,and the feelings of contradictions and anxiety about the hometown deepen the tragic nature of the work.On the other hand,the responsibility of intellectuals makes him feel the importance of writing at the bottom and going to the world.The tragedy described by Liu Zhenyun is closely related to his growth environment and literary writing background.His childhood growth experience has deeply affected Liu Zhenyun’s future writing.Therefore,by analyzing the evolution of the connotation of the tragic theme,we can better understand Liu Zhenyun’s literary core of writing with joy and sadness and the author’s exploration of the national spirit,and this revealing of the mystery of the national spirit is inseparable from the author’s pursuit of the value of "people".It not only reflects the author’s sense of responsibility,but also expresses the author’s expectation of the ideal spiritual world and the tragic force of reflecting on himself and moving towards the future.From a horizontal point of view,from the tragic connotation of the theme to the generation of tragic writing,what is presented is the tragic connotation of Liu Zhenyun’s works,which can better understand the value core of Liu Zhenyun’s writing of joy and sadness in his works;from the vertical point of view,the early and late
