Abstract/Summary:
China’s intangible cultural heritage contains the gene of the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation.With the rapid development of science and technology,the transmission mode of intangible cultural heritage has undergone profound changes.Documentary is an important way to spread the intangible cultural heritage.The creators of documentary are also exploring various ways to spread the intangible cultural heritage and the traditional Chinese culture.In the Introduction to Documentary,Bill Nichols divides documentary into six types:Poetic documentary,Expository Documentary,Participatory documentary,Observational documentary,Reflexive documentary and Performative documentary.Among them,"Participatory documentary" is the focus of this paper.The author’s graduation work adopts the shooting mode of Participatory documentary to record the "Maoqiang" of intangible cultural heritage culture.Based on bill Nichols’ s theory of documentary types,combined with the author’s graduation work "Flourishing",this paper studies the integration of the shooting mode of Participatory documentary and the documentary of intangible cultural heritage.The introduction of this paper will introduce the origin of the topic,the significance of this topic to the intangible cultural heritage cultural communication and documentary type research,and summarize the research status of this topic.The first chapter elaborates the intangible cultural heritage,Maoqiang and other terms,including its origin,development and other aspects,and discusses the image communication characteristics of the current intangible cultural heritage culture;the second chapter defines the concept of participatory documentary combined with Bill Nichols’ theory of documentary,and discusses the influence of the application of participatory mode in participatory documentary on story narration with examples significance.The third chapter combines the author’s graduation work "Flourishing" to carry on the fusion research.In the director’s elaboration,it details the creative ideas and creative difficulties of this film.Then,combined with practical creation,it summarizes the characteristics of the participation mode of intangible cultural heritage documentary,and puts forward the main creative methods of this type of documentary,summarizes personal experience and thinking.
