As the first place for children’s growth and development,family nurturing and socialization process will have a profound impact on children’s sociality.For a long time,the research on parenting style has focused on two dimensions of warmth and control and the combination of these two dimensions,such as autocracy or authority.Previous studies have emphasized the impact of general parenting style on children’s socialization outcomes.General parenting style integrates ideas,emotional care and control at various levels.Although it is significant to reveal the role of parental rearing in children’s social outcomes,the results are lack of depth and can’t help people understand whether parenting concepts and behaviors at different levels play different roles in children’s socialization outcomes.In the process of parent-child interaction,parents’ attitudes or ideas towards children’s emotional response and their emotional behaviors under the control of ideas may have a more profound impact on children’s socialization.Parents’ emotional socialization ideas and behaviors can create different family emotional atmosphere,which will enhance or weaken children’s motivation to accept or resist their parents’ demands,and then affect the socialization outcomes.Therefore,this study uses the questionnaire survey to conduct a three-year follow-up study on children and their parents in five kindergartens in Nanjing,mainly to explore the complex relationship among parents’ meta-emotion,reactions to emotions and children’s problem behavior.The main conclusions are as follows:1.Boys’ perceived problem behavior is significantly higher than girls.2.There is a mutual predictive relationship between parents’ meta-emotional philosophy and children’s problem behavior.The parents’ emotion-coaching positively at the former time point can delay the children’s internal and externalizing problem behaviors at the later time point;the children’s internal and externalizing problem behaviors at the former time point can increase the parents’ emotion-dismissing positively at the later time point and inhibit the parents’ emotioncoaching positively at the later time point.3.There is a mutual predictive relationship between parents’ reactions to emotions and children’s problem behavior.The mother’s supportive emotional reaction at the former time point can inhibit the children’s internal problem behavior at the latter time point;the children’s externalizing and internal problem behavior at the former time point can increase the parents’ non supportive emotional reaction at the latter time point.4.Parents’ reactions to emotions at wave 2 plays a complete mediator role between metaemotional philosophy at wave 1 and children’s problem behavior at wave 3.Parents’ emotioncoaching positively at wave 1 can delay children’s problem behaviors at wave 3 by increasing parents’ emotion-focused reactions,inhibiting parents’ distress reactions at wave 2;parents’ emotiondismissing positively at wave 1 can increase children’s problem behaviors at wave 3 by increasing parents’ distress reactions at wave 2.
