Research On Uyghur Translation Of Ecological Culture-loaded Words In The Story Of The Stone From The Perspective Of Equivalent Translation

Language is not only a tool for people to communicate,but also a carrier of cultural information.Different cultural groups or different nationalities have produced many languages with their own cultural characteristics in the communication of production and life,and culture-loaded words are one of the language levels that can best reflect the cultural characteristics of these cultural groups or nationalities.When translation,due to the uniqueness of culture-loaded words,it is often easy for other cultural groups or ethnic groups to understand or misunderstand,which hinders the communication and learning between people.Therefore,how to correctly and equivalently translate culture-loaded words and unblock the barriers of people’s communication is a topic of research significance.The Story of the Stone was ranked as the best Chinese classical novels,which deemed as the encyclopedia of ancient Chinese feudal society and traditional culture.As far as the current research in the field of translation is concerned,the research results of the English translation of The Story of the Stone have been relatively rich,and the research results of Uyghur translations are still relatively rare;there are relatively many studies on the translation of material cultural vocabulary,and relatively few studies on the translation of other cultural vocabulary.Therefore,this study selected the ecological and culture-loaded words in The Story of the Stone as the research object to study the Uyghur translation.In the perspective of equivalent translation,this research not only analyzed the translation strategies and translation methods utilized by the translator through the translation of ecological culture-loaded words in The Story of the Stone,but also observed the loss,addition and variation of cultural connotation during the the process of translation.Through this research,the author hopes to convey a more accurate and comprehensive translation of ecological culture-loaded words with cultural information to Uighur readers,at the same time,provides some references for the practice of Han-Uyghur translation.This study is divided into six parts.The first part is the introduction: It mainly includes research background and significance,research objects and methods,research status and theoretical basis;The second part is an overview of culture-loaded words: This paper mainly defines the definition and classification of culture-loaded words and expounds the characteristics of culture-loaded words;The third part is the selection and classification statistics of ecological culture-loaded words in The Story of the Stone: It mainly explains the concept of ecological cultural-loaded words and the selection basis of ecological culture-loaded words in The Story of the Stone,and the ecological culture-loaded words in The Story of the Stone are divided into five categories: animals,plants,meteorology,object and image,toponymy,and then these five types of ecological culture-loaded words are reclassified and counted;The fourth part is the dimensional translation strategy and method analysis of ecological culture-load words of The Story of the Stone from the perspective of equivalent translation: It mainly analyzes the translation strategies and methods of ecological culture-loaded words in The Story of the Stone,and analyzes the translations using various translation methods by using equivalent translation theory;The fifth part is the problems in the translation of ecological culture-loaded words of The Story of the Stone from the perspective of equivalent translation: This paper mainly elaborated several serious unequal situations in translation,and put forward corresponding translation suggestions according to these situations;The sixth part is the conclusion: This paper mainly summarizes the overall situation of the translation of ecological culture-loaded words,the translation methods that should be adopted for different semantic types of culture-load words,and the shortcomings in the research.
