| The research object of this article is the funeral ceremony of folk Buddhism of Tujia in Wantan Town,the origin of the Buddhist Ghost-feed Ritual.The research object contains two meanings,one is the origin of the Buddhist Ghostfeed Ritual,and the other is the background of the Wantan case as a kind of Buddhist Ghostfeed Ritual.The reason for choosing a case is traditional culture is highly restored in this area,the distinctive mountain features of Tujia,complex religious beliefs and superb level of literary creation.And reasons for choosing this research site is aiming at the development status of Buddhist Ghost-feed Ritual,and I will re-examine previous studies on Buddhist Ghost-feed Ritual in the Song and Yuan Dynasties and do the next step.Also,this article will provide a fresh and typical research material in this aspect of the spread of Buddhism in the folk and A Historical Study of Buddhist Ghost-feed Ritual.The writing methods used in the article are historical document method,text Comparison method and field investigation method.This article is divided into five parts:The beginning is an introduction,which aims to establish the research object,sorts out the research status,explores the research space,explains the research methods,and clarifies the research significance.The first chapter is an introduction to the environment of Ghost-feed Ritual in Wantan,which expands key points by unique geographical environments,strong cultural heritage and pattern background of ceremony Ghost-feed Ritual.The second chapter is the real field record of Ghost-feed Ritual in Wantan.This chapter will use the traditional field method of recording mode and text analysis in parallel.On the basis of restoring the appearance of the ritual,I will analyze and explain the content of ritual text.The third chapter is the core of my article,which introduces the origin of the Buddhist Ghost-feed Ritual in Wantan.This chapter mainly describes three aspects.First,I will sort out the three origins of Ghost-feed Ritual in Buddhism.Secondly,retell history of Ghostfeed Ritual presume Buddhism.Furthermore,the comparison of the texts of the Ghost-feed Ritual in Buddhism.At last,I will state the Ghost-feed Ritual’s history of transmutation about the case.In the final conclusion,I think the Buddhist Ghost-feed Ritual has a long history in the area.Ritual text of the case originated in the Tang Dynasty.And The eight links of the case all have the source of Buddhism,which come from different dynasties.Although,folk Ghost-feed ritual is mixed with Buddhism and Taoism.But after observing its text,you are easy to find that it belongs to Buddha Yoga.After civil transformation,this text of Ghostfeed Ritual is now in line with the mood of the people and is easy to practice and understand. |
