Research On Liu Zongzhou’s Moral Practice Thought | | Posted on:2020-06-18 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:Y P Tang | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2505306464971159 | Subject:Philosophy-ethics | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | Liu Zongzhou is a figure of Confucianism in the Song and Ming Dynasties.He is the last Confucian scholar in the late Ming Dynasty.He combined his theory of qi,mind,cautiousness and self-cultivation to create his moral practice ideology.Zong Zhou’s thought came from Yangming’s thoughts.He made three changes in Yang Ming’s thoughts throughout his life.From the beginning to the beginning,he believed in the letter,and he did not spare no effort to distinguish his difficulties.It also reflected the changing course of Zong Zhou’s thought.Zong Zhou’s moral practice thought is the inheritance and development of the Neo-Confucianism of the Song and Ming Dynasties.His moral practice thought is carried out in three parts,namely the basis,path and goal of moral practice.The theory of qi and qi occupies a very important position in Zong Zhou’s thoughts.He puts forward the saying that “there is a temperament between the heavens and the earth” and thinks that qi is indivisible.Zong Zhou is the terminator of the mind school in the late Ming Dynasty.Therefore,his theory of qi is to serve his theory of mind.He also put forward the theory of “the nature of righteousness”,that is,the “nature of temperamenty”and the “people’s heart” and “daoxin”.This is the scope of his theory of mind.“Du Ti” plays the most fundamental role in Zong Zhou’s entire moral practice ideology.It is the basis of “Shen Du”.He promotes “Du Ti” to the height of ontology.At the same time,Zong Zhou also emphasized the “Yi Ti”,“Yi” is the existence of the heart,not made,is the master of the heart.“Yi Ti” is “Du Ti”,and the likes and dislikes of the body are the likes and dislikes of the Du Ti.Therefore,the “Yi Ti”also has the ontological meaning.The core of Zong Zhou’s moral practice thought is the “Shen Du” work theory and the “sincerity” cultivation theory.Zong Zhou used the “sincerity” to correct the abuses of Yangming and tried to restore the orthodox status of traditional Confucianism.On this basis,Zong Zhou criticized Yang Ming’s “conscience” and overturned Yang Ming’s interpretation of “Yi”.The “Shen Du”work theory emphasizes the high self-discipline of the moral subject.Zong Zhou combines the ontology of “Du”with the “Shen Du” work,and thus achieves the cultivation of “respect”,so “Shen Du”is the most important form of cultivation.Zong Zhou finally integrated “Shen Du” with “sincerity”and completed the most important step in his practice.The goal of Zong Zhou’s moral practice is to realize the ideal of life for the inner and outer kings and gentlemen.People need to implement the internal cultivation of the personwith the “Shen Du”and “sincerity” in the way of cultivation,and complete the ideal saint mode.In the life of pursuing the ideals of the inner and outer kings,Zong Zhou was tenacious and unyielding.He eventually hunger for the country and embodied his noble personality of “gentlemen”who surpassed life and death.Zong Zhou’s moral practice thoughts provide an important resource for the development of modern society and the development of people themselves.The introspection of “Shen Du”and “sincerity” is still indispensable for the development of modern society.For the realization of people’s own development,the promotion of people’s sense of autonomy and the development of a credible society,we can get a lot of inspiration from Zong Zhou’s moral practice.However,it should be noted that the Zong Zhou moral practice thought also has the limitations of the times.This cannot be ignored in the research process. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Liu Zongzhou, Du Ti, Yi Ti, Shen Du, Sincerity, Inner sacred king | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
