Phonetic Features And Phonological Analysis Of Vowel Harmony Phenomena In Kazakh

Kazakh language is one of the languages and characters of Chinese minorities and an important part of the treasure house of Chinese civilization and world culture.Kazakh language belongs to the Altaic language family and the Kepchak language group in the Turkic language family.Compared with the study of Uygur harmony,the study of vowel harmony in Kazakh language is relatively weak,and the study of vowel harmony in Kazakh language occupies an important position in the study of Turkic vowel harmony,so this paper explores the phenomenon of vowel harmony in Kazakh.This paper explores the mechanism of vowel harmony in Kazakh and its acoustic characteristics.Firstly,the acoustic characteristics of vowel harmony are analyzed by means of experimental phonetics.Then,this paper analyses the mechanism of vowel harmony in Kazakh by using the classical theory of SPE in phonology and the theory of feature geometry.The major findings of this paper are as following: in terms of experimental phonetics,in monosyllabic words,there is centralization of vowels in Kazakh;there is little difference between vowels in monosyllabic words and vowels in disyllabic harmonious roots;among disharmonic roots caused by loanwords,the centralization of front vowels /?/ and /e/ in Kazakh is significant.In terms of phonology,the author holds that the vowel harmony type of Kazakh is palatal harmony,which belongs to the root control type in terms of control parameters,and that is,the vowels of a word(including suffixes)are either front vowels or back vowels.The vowel harmony in suffixes is that the features of suffixes in words are underspecified at the underlying expression,but the surface expression must be specified.And the surface expression of suffixes must be specified the features which spread from the stem.This paper analyses the mechanism of vowel harmony in Kazakh language,and analyses the acoustic characteristics of vowel harmony in Kazakh language,hoping to provide some references for the future studies of vowel harmony and acoustic characteristics in Kazakh language.At the same time,it is hoped that the study of acoustical experiment of Kazakh language can provide some references for the study of Kazakh language in speech recognition,speech synthesis,and even artificial intelligence.
