The study of metaphor originated in ancient Greece.Aristotle first observed the phenomenon of metaphor. In his Rhetoric and Poetics,he studied metaphor as a rhetorical device. In the early 1980 s,Lakoff and Johnson’s Metaphors We Live by were published.Conceptual metaphor theory was first proposed from a cognitive perspective. From then on,metaphor is not only a study of rhetoric, but also a study of cognitive and thinking modes. With the development of cognitive linguistics, metaphor is no longer onlya linguistic phenomenon, but also a cognitive phenomenon of human beings. It is a cognitive mode and inference mechanism.Translation,as a transformation between two languages,is also a cognitive mode. The way people know the world is often from simple things to complex things, through their own familiar things to know unfamiliar things, which is the law of people’s cognition. At first, human beings know the objective world by referring to human body.It is the most direct way to know everything in the world by human body itself.Human body metaphor is one of the main sources of metaphor."A Dream of Red Mansions" as one of the four famous classical works in China,is a great work with profound thought and high artistry. It is known as an encyclopedia of Chinese traditional culture."Heart" appears frequently in this great work. The author uses a lot of Expressions related to "heart" to not only depict vivid characters, but also show the personality characteristics of different characters and their thinking and emotional activities, which provides rich resources for linguistics, literature, rhetoric and other disciplines. From the perspective of cognitive linguistics, this paper first makes an anaysis and comparison of the metaphorical cognitive system and metaphorical similarities and differences of "heart" in Chinese and Uygur from three aspects: the substantive metaphor of "heart",the spatial metaphor and other metaphors, and then sumsup the factors influencig the metaphorical translation of "heart" in A Dream of Red Mansions with the help of corpus. There are six ways of translation from two aspects of knowledge. It is hoped that it can supplement the deficiencies of the cognitive system of metaphor of "heart" in Chinese and Uygur languages, enrich the study of human body metaphor and its translation, and enhance the communication between the two languages and cultures.
