Study On The Works Of Patigül’s Literary Creation

Since the Reform and Opening-up,under the support from Central Committee of CPC and the nation,the literature of minorities in China has been developed greatly.The mightiness of economic and cultural undertakings has also brought unprecedented creative power,motivate directions and strong belief to writers of all ethnic groups.At the end of 20^th century,a large number of bilingual or multilingual minority writers who can create works in fluent Mandarin began to appear in the literary field of China.With unique and simple language,they write stories of people with different ethnicity to the whole country,even the whole world.Born in Shawan and living in Yuyao,Patigül（1965-）is one of the minority writers who can use Mandarin in creation.Guided by Marxism-Leninism and the theory of building socialism with Chinese characteristics,this paper makes a systematic and comprehensive analysis to thematic connotations and artistic features of Patigül’s all works.It starts by focusing on the multi-environment where she grew up,applying methods of documentation,textual analysis and practical interviews.The full paper consists of following six parts:The introduction part,as the first chapter,mainly discusses the feasibility and academic values,including research background,significance of the topic,present research status,research methods and basic structure of this thesis.As the starter part,Chapter Ⅱ eyes at Patigül’s multi-environmental background from three aspects:her unique village of birth,education received,and her leave of birthplace and literary creation.This part consists of three sections.The first section focuses on the analysis of the"mixed-race"village where she was born and grew up.The second one analyses the education she received in Mandarin.The third section focuses on her leave from her relatives and hometown,and the connection that of with her literary creation.Based on author’s special life and pluralistic environment,this part mainly analyses the influence and function of that in Patigül’s later literary creation and achievements.Chapter Ⅲ and Chapter Ⅳ,as the body part,analyze and classify the thematic connotation of her works,so as to further discuss her literary creation.The thematic connotation of Patigül’s works can be divided into two categories,which affected by different environment she experienced:"hometown,relatives and‘me’"series and"family story and historical memory"series.Embodied in her first five prose collections,the first thematic series are the stories of her hometown and relatives.These works show her yearning for the early leave from her homeland and relatives,as well as her recollection of the past places and people with old"me".The second kind thematic series,created after she followed the Xinjiang Aid Task Force into rural areas of Southern Xinjiang,are descriptions of the folk memories in Northwest and Southern Xinjiang.With the expansion of her horizon,Patigül combined her autobiographical stories with the unforgettable experiences and integration process of different people.After that,she began to write the new changes of new people in the new countryside.Meanwhile,she also found and excavated the precious memories of patriots who had gained new life with the help of Red Army.She highly propagated the spirit of the new era by telling these great stories to the whole nation.The 5^th chapter eyes at the literary language and plot,so as to analyze Patigül’s unique creative words and prose plot.Patigül takes full advantage of her multilingualism and uses a large number of transliterated words from Uygur,Hui and Kazakh to enrich the content of her work,formed a unique language.Breaking away from the boundaries of fiction and prose,she wrote and exerted her imagination so freely and created plenty of prose with novel plots.This possesses her storyline with adequate depth for narration and space for development.The conclusion,as the last part,makes a comprehensive summary of the above research content.After summarizing the research results of Patigül’s multiculturalism and function that of to her works,this part mainly summarizes two main thematic connotations and creative characteristics.Then,it focuses on the bilingual writers such as Patigül in the literary field as a whole,and affirms the exemplary role they have played in ethnic literature.Finally,it points and confirms their positive contribution to the development of ethnic literature of China.
