Hong Ling was originally a professor at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, but he set up his own studio in Huangshan. He interprets Jiangnan with oil paintings. As for the painting objects, snow scene oil paintings are the main subjects. The vastness of snowy weather brings people the feeling of tranquility and loneliness. It is precisely this natural beauty that Hong Ling is attracted to and outlines the snow scene. In terms of painting methods,Hong Ling draws inspiration from landscape paintings, and uses imagination to expand the objects and styles of the paintings. The artistic height that Chinese traditional works can reach not only depends on the artist’s own understanding of the objects depicted, but also is inseparable from the height of his own realm.Hong Ling reinterprets the snow scenes of traditional landscape paintings in his own style. His snow scene oil paintings fully reflect the ethereal and secluded spirit and the vast and vigorous atmosphere. The beauty of Chinese landscape paintings in Hong Ling’s snow scene oil paintings is not floating on the surface, but due to the artist’s own artistic experience and the environmental impact of being in nature,so his snow scene works exude a "bloom and secluded" landscape spirit. This is the views discussed in this paper. This article analyzes and studies Hong Ling’s oil paintings on snow scenes, explores the spirit of Chinese landscape in his snow scene oil paintings, and understands the infestation and influence of Chinese traditional culture on painting style and artistic language. The main body of this paper is composed of five chapters. The first chapter analyzes the background of Hong Ling’s artistic process and the formation of Hong Ling’s image oil painting style. The second chapter combs Hong Ling’s snow scene painting creation during Huangshan Studio, and studies Hong Ling’s snow scene oil painting works. The third chapter studies the schematic language of Hong Ling’s snow scene oil paintings, and analyzes the language characteristics of Hong Ling’s snow scene oil paintings from five aspects:color, shape, composition, brushstrokes, and screen atmosphere.Chapter 4 is an important chapter of this thesis. It studies the spirit of landscape in Hong Ling’s oil paintings of snow scenes. It is expounded from two aspects:the character of snow scenes and the realm of snow scenes. The fifth chapter elaborates the realistic significance of Hong Ling’s landscape oil painting in the contemporary art circle under the background of diversified art. |
