Respecting the old and caring for the old,"caring for the old and helping the old",and helping the old who fell to the ground,are the moral requirements and action principles that have been injected into the blood of Chinese culture for thousands of years,and are also the moral requirements based on the relationship between Chinese people and relations.But now the social reality is,since the "help the elderly was falsely" has been widely reported,the elderly fell down no one dare to help,even if someone to help,also want to find a good witness or take a photo as evidence.Because most of the media reports tell us,"falling old people love racketeer","helping old people is risky","helping old people will be blackmailed","good people do not have to do" and so on.It is such media reports and comments that conceptually frame this "social reality".Once this "social reality" becomes widely accepted knowledge and experience,it will cause the effect of "bad money driving out good money" in moral life.That is,when helping the elderly is not only not appreciated,but may be blackmailed,many people accept the impulse of moral benevolence arising from conscience,and adopt the moral indifference of "none of your business,hanging up",which is undoubtedly a moral heavy blow to the whole society.There are ethical fault in media’s reporting for similar events,mainly displays in:one is through repeated reports "helped the old man was correct" class abnormal events to attract "eyeball effect",the public attention,get news benefits,regardless of the news report could lead to social consequences;Second,in this kind of news reports,in order to highlight the abnormal nature of events and highlight the news effect,they deliberately label the events of helping the elderly,and categorize the relevant events as "×××Pengyu Case" and "helping the elderly against being falsely",resulting in a large number of "phenomena" of such events.Third,through the deliberate selection of angles and biased comments in the report,the "help the elderly will be mistaken" into a "stereotype bias."
