| Anxiety refers to the emotion of tension,worry,anxiety,helplessness and so on for the danger source that cannot be clearly located.Studies have shown that anxiety is a common emotional distress of college students,which has a negative impact on their study,life and interpersonal communication.At present,the intervention of college students’ anxiety is mainly individual talk therapy or group counseling.Mandala painting technique is an art therapy method based on Jung’s analytical psychology theory.It is easy to operate and highly accepted by the public.It is suitable to be a powerful auxiliary method for mental health work in colleges and universities.At present,there are many researches on the painting of mandala for different psychological problems,but few researches on the anxiety of college students.There are even fewer researches on the specific form of mandala painting that can effectively reduce the anxiety level.Therefore,this study was to explore the non-structured formula mandala drawing on college students’ anxiety and the intervention effect of "written reflection of non-structured mandala painting" and "pure non structured mandala painting" in reducing anxiety differences,at the same time,through to the anxiety level analysis and interpretation of different subjects paintings,provide reference for technical popularization and application of the mandala painting.The experimental method of 3×2 mixed design was adopted in this study.Subjects were recruited from college students and divided into three groups:written reflective unstructured mandala painting group,unstructured mandala painting group and control group.The State-Trait Anxiety Inventory(STAI)was used for the pre-and post-test..Within a month,the Mandala painting group completed three painting tasks,each one a week or two weeks apart.Anxiety levels were measured again after the third drawing task.The control group did not participate in the painting task,only one month between the pre-and post-test.In this study,the experimental results were analyzed and discussed by combining scale evaluation with process evaluation,and by combining written material analysis with painting analysis.The results are as follows:1、The overall anxiety level of college students is high,and the proportion of middle and high anxiety is 48%,with no significant gender difference.2、The level of state anxiety of college students is lower than the norm,but the level of trait anxiety has no obvious change.3 、 Written reflection on non-structured mandala painting has significant intervention effect on the anxiety of middle and high anxiety level college students.4、The non-structured mandala paintings of subjects with different anxiety levels has show different self-function.Conclusion :(1)College students’ anxiety should be paid more attention to.(2)Written reflection on non-structured mandala painting could effectively improve the anxiety of college students with medium and high anxiety levels.(3)The mode of combining non-structured mandala painting with written reflection and scale measurement is an effective way to carry out mental health work in colleges and universities. |
