WeChat Subscription of People’s Daily is the most influential public number of mainstream media,which plays an important role in the process of information dissemination.Title is the eye of the article,and the quality of the title directly affects the success or failure of information dissemination.Predecessors have done a lot of research on the title,but most of them analyze the title with various grammatical forms as a whole,while the research on a certain type of title is rare.In the titles of WeChat Subscription of People’s Daily,titles "X!Y"account for a large proportion.This article takes titles "X!Y"in WeChat Subscription of People’s Daily as the research object and analyzes the linguistic characteristics from perspectives of grammar and pragmatics.The article consists of four main parts.The first part mainly discusses the sentence pattern of the titles "X!Y" in WeChat Subscription of People’s Daily from the perspective of grammatical structure.The second part mainly analyzes the mood and modality system of the titles"X!Y" by combining the interpersonal function concept in Halliday’s metafunction theory,and summarizes the characteristics in interpersonal functions of the titles "X!Y".The third part mainly uses the relevance theory to analyze the relevance assumptions of the title generation.The fourth part mainly analyzes the reasons for the emergence and popularity of such titles from the internal and external aspects of language.The titles "X!Y" in WeChat Subscription of People’s Daily,in terms of grammatical structure,the title heading "X" is mostly non subject-predicate sentence,in which verb non-subject-predicate sentence is the main one.Subject-predicate sentences are seldom used in titles.The second half of the title "Y" is mainly simple sentence,in addition,there are a few complex sentences and "A:B".In terms of interpersonal function,the mood system is mainly reflected by the sentence type of "X!Y" and the modal particles in the sentence,and the modality system is represented by the use of modal verbs,modal adverbs and personal pronouns.Specifically,there are many kinds of mood in the titles"X!Y",and it has a strong subjective participation.In modality,both authority and affinity are considered.In terms of pragmatic relevance,the title heading "X" is mostly the words that can be related to the audience and can easily stimulate the audience’s interest in reading.Finally,this paper analyzes the reasons for the emergence and popularity of such titles from the aspects of social factors,audience psychology and the characteristics of language use.
