Study On The Appellation Of Dialect In Wenling

As an important part of Wenling dialect vocabulary,Wenling dialect appellation not only embodies the overall characteristics of Wu dialect,but also shows its own unique side.The investigation of appellation is not only of linguistic significance,but also of cultural value.Based on the description,this paper makes a simple comparative analysis of the appellations in Wenling dialect and Putonghua.The paper consists of five parts.The introduction mainly introduces the geographical history of Wenling City and the general situation of Wenling dialect,and reviews the research status of appellation.Although Wenling dialect vocabulary has achieved preliminary research results,most of them are only in the state of listing and stacking of corpus.There is no specific analysis of it,including appellation.The first chapter takes the appellation in Wenling dialect as the research object,and divides it into two categories: kinship appellation and social appellation.Kinship appellation can be divided into blood appellation and marriage appellation.Social appellation can be divided into general appellation,character appellation,professional appellation,business appellation and relationship appellation.The second chapter is the analysis of kinship appellation in Wenling dialect.When people in Wenling address relatives,there are some differences between face-to-face address and back address.Wenling dialect kinship appellation can be divided into two types of word formation:simple words and compound words,and there are generally three types of word formation:additional,compound and overlapping.In the process of use,there are collective,plural words,asymmetric form and meaning,and from his kinship appellation.These use characteristics are closely related to the characteristics of language itself,personal use habits and communication psychology.On the one hand,it is different from the common language,on the other hand,it is gradually closer to it.In the process of continuous evolution and development,it has an obvious trend of simplification and generalization.The last section is to look at some cultural phenomena in Wenling through kinship appellation.This is mainly reflected in four aspects: the concept of marriage and family,patriarchal ethics,the concept of male superiority and female inferiority,and regional culture.These four aspects affect the formation of appellation to a certain extent.The third chapter is the analysis of social appellation of Wenling dialect.The social appellation of Wenling dialect has a strong descriptive color,and there are some special suffixes,such as "Po" "Tou" "Lao" "Gui" and "Jiu".Most of these suffixes are personal.The emergence of appellation is related to people’s cognitive style,namely metaphor and metonymy.According to different origins,the metaphorical part is divided into animal,plant and inanimate material metaphors,and based on the analysis of examples,the metaphorical features of social appellations in Wenling dialect are summarized;metonymy is mainly divided into feature generation ontology and other metonymy.The asymmetry of form and meaning reflects the generality and concreteness of social appellation in Wenling dialect.The formation and development of dialect appellation is closely related to human society,therefore,the last section discusses the influence of various social factors on the social appellation of Wenling dialect.This mainly includes four aspects: social production,life,psychology,ideology and values.In the epilogue,the paper summarizes the composition features,usage features and social phenomena of kinship appellation and social appellation in Wenling dialect.
