| In the era of multicultural collision,writers with multicultural identities often have a unique vision when looking at the world.They reveal the details of human existence through their novels,which has been widely focused and studied by the world literature.Kazuo Ishiguro,who is referred to as the “Three Masters of British Immigrant Literature” together with Salman Rushdie and V·S· Naipaul,is one of such a focus.Before the Swedish Academy awarded the Nobel Prize for literature to Kazuo Ishiguro in 2017,he was an important figure that could not be ignored in the world literature.Kazuo Ishiguro’s novels are smooth and concise,combined the cultural characteristics of the East and the West world.It is not only showing the collision of multiple cultures,but also focusing on digging out the emotional content of human memory and trauma to attract readers from all over the world.When reading his works carefully,we can find that Kazuo Ishiguro uses this kind of deep digging to reach the depths of the reader’s mind and analyze his latent consciousness,thus bringing readers a specious illusion.As an inevitable and frightening experience in the process of human survival and development.Even literature,which is free to move between modern and original works,often places people in an abyss of illusion.The “illusion” embodied in Kazuo Ishiguros novels can be called the illusion writing technique.Through the study and theoretical thinking of his works,it is found that the writing technique of illusion used by Kazuo Ishiguro is consistent with Jung’s artistic hallucination.To some extent,both of them focus on the potential spiritual and inner world of people in today’s society.In his theoretical works of analytical psychology,Jung mainly discusses the hallucination phenomenon.This argument is one of the important bases of his archetype theory.Based on Jung’s theory,this paper studies Kazuo Ishiguro’s novels,so as to dig out the inner feelings hidden in his eclectic creation.Thus,not only can we continue to study Kazuo Ishiguro and his novels in depth and systematically,but to open up the critical application of Jung’s analytical psychology theory.This paper is divided into three parts.In the first part,using theories of archetype,symbol and dreams in Jung’s analytical psychology to analyze in detail the literary connotation of Kazuo Ishiguro’s novels,thereby presenting the internal thinking and complexity contained in the illusion writing in Kazuo Ishiguro’s novels.The second part,combined with Jung’s discussion on the social significance of art in literary psychology,analyzes Kazuo Ishiguro’s novel creation strategy,and discusses the imagination,fluidity and timeliness of his novels in terms of the illusion writing techniques.The third part,based on four different dimensions of readers,works,writers and the world,this part explores the importance of spiritual guidance,depth of connotation,creation feelings and collective value demonstrated in the illusion writing of his novels. |
