Ian Mc Ewan(1948-),a powerful British writer, has been widely praised for her exquisite narrative art and profound ethical review since her virgin work was published in 1975.Among them,Mc Ewan’s attention to children almost runs through her literary creation. From the reconstruction of the family by the children of four parents who died in The Cement Garden to the metaphor of the lost children and childhood in The Child In Time and to the revelation of children’s social problems in The Children Act,Mc Ewan’s children narrative not only inherits the literary tradition of the important figures in the nineteenth century, but also shapes his "disturbing world".Children narrative is based on childhood experience but the core point is the coarse reality of the adult world. In the narrative structure of the potential bipolar opposition between children and adults,Mc Ewan thinks about the real problems by showing the life state of children and adults,so as to establish his understanding of the world and find his own life discourse in the children’s world.Compared with traditional children’s literature,Mc Ewan’s children narrative is profound in that it not only points to the transcendence of children’s own life in reality, but also the self-transcendence that once completed the state of life as a child’s adult. This paper interprets Mc Ewan’s three short stories and five medium and long stories with distinctive narrative style of children.Based on the close reading of the text,it is explained by related theories such as narratology and psychological analysis. The paper is mainly divided into four parts. On the basis of summarizing the research status of Mc Ewan at home and abroad, the introduction focuses on summarizing and combing the research results with children as the research object, involving the growth theme, children’s image, children’s imagery and children’s ethical identity. At the beginning of this paper, the children narrative is defined based on the actual situation of Mc Ewan’s works.Children narrative is a narrative strategy that Mc Ewan uses children as the object of care in his works, uses children’s perspective and image to write literary texts with adults as implicit readers, and contains its unique aesthetic value. In this unique narrative strategy,Mc Ewan’s review of his childhood is integrated, and the author’s reflection on personal, family and social problems hidden in the text context is also presented. The first chapter traces Mc Ewan’s own childhood experience and thinks that Mc Ewan’s traumatic experience, special family structure and wandering lonely childhood life have a root impact on the children narrative in his creation. With the opening of Mc Ewan’s creative vision, the causes of children’s narrative are also from Mc Ewan’s thinking about children’s problems, family ethics and social conditions. The second chapter through the way of close reading of the text, the children narrative from the overall implementation to the narrative structure, children’s perspective, children’s images and children’s imagery of multi-dimensional presentation. In this narrative context, taking into account the form and content, this paper analyzes the fantasy perspective of "daydream" and the "ignorant" perspective in the text, and the adult and early childhood images created in the works with children as the narrative subject, and interprets the different images of children as a special group. The third chapter further explains the aesthetic value of children narrative.Children narrative is usually based on adults as implied readers. At this time, children narrative has become a bridge to achieve empathy inside and outside the text. The voice of children and adults inside and outside the text forms polyphony. In addition,Mc Ewan has always been a writer who focuses on the innovation of literary skills and literary experiments. The unreliable narration, defamiliarization effect, bipolar imagination,’light’ and ’heavy’ literary narration and vanguard nature of children narration reflect Mc Ewan’s distinctive writing characteristics.
