Research On Long Shots Creation Of Documentary In Digital Technology Era

With the continuous change of modern digital technology,we have stepped into the era of digital technology,and more and more communication media and cultural carriers flood into people’s vision.In this context,Chinese documentaries are gradually becoming more and more diversified in terms of their styles and dissemination.As the main creative means of documentaries,the long shots has also ushered in a new turning point in its development.There are many digital long shots using digital technology for creation.Therefore,it is necessary to re-comb and summarize the long shots in documentaries at present.In order to have an in-depth interpretation of long shots in documentaries,the author systematically combs past academic literature on long shots in documentaries and briefly analyzes classic long shots cases in excellent documentaries.Combined with the author’s own creation practice,the author believes that long shots in documentaries can be divided into two categories.One type is the traditional long shots that is faithful to on-the-spot documentary shooting in time and space;the other is the digital long shots that is created with digital technology.However,the current academic research on traditional long shots in documentaries has been relatively complete,so the author decided to take digital long shots in documentaries as the main research object.The author defines the concept of long shots and digital long shots from six perspectives,including concept definition,shots form,conception design,creation and shooting,real concept and aesthetic features,and divides the forms of long shots in documentaries into two categories: traditional long shots and digital long shots.Then it explains that in the process of creation,creators can design digital long shots from two aspects of shooting scene and shooting content.At the same time,digital long shots can be generated,shot or splicing by means of "digital animation","VR" and "seamless editing".Finally,the extension effect of digital long shots on the real connotation and aesthetic features of long shots is discussed in detail.In the aspect of authenticity,the paper theoretically defines the authenticity of digital long shot by using the theory of quadrant threshold from the connotation and development of the concept of authenticity.At the same time,by analyzing the typical application cases of digital long shot in excellent documentary works,this paper points out the change and surpassing trend of digital long shot to traditional long shots aesthetics,and puts forward the aesthetic features of "spectacle" of digital long shot and the transformation from "authenticity" to "sense of reality".It is helpful for documentary creators to use digital long shots reasonably in the process of creation to construct excellent documentary works.
