Research On Ceramics Unearthed From The Tombs Of The Sui-Tang Dynasties In Chaoyang,Liaoning Province

This paper is an archaeological study of ceramics unearthed from the tombs of the Sui-Tang dynasties in Chaoyang Area,Liaoning Province.On the basis of comprehensive collection of data and detailed type analysis,the ceramics unearthed from the tombs of the Sui-Tang dynasties in Chaoyang are discussed in stages and years,and then the basic characteristics of pottery and the cultural factors embodied in it,the sources and cultural factors of the tomb figures and models are analyzed.As no glazed pottery and porcelain kiln sites of Sui-Tang dynasties have been found in Chaoyang Area so far,unearthed glazed pottery and porcelain are imported products of the Central Plains kilns,and its research is intended to discuss the circulation and consumption of glazed pottery and porcelain in the Sui-Tang dynasties.The full text is divided into seven parts.The introduction introduces the historical evolution and geographical background of Chaoyang,Liaoning Province.The first chapter defines the space-time category of the research object and introduces the previous archaeological discoveries,the existing research results and limitations,as well as the methods,ideas and purposes of this paper.The second chapter analyzes the type of ceramics.This is divided into four categories: daily porcelain,daily glazed pottery,daily pottery,tomb figures and models.The third chapter,on the basis of type study,groups the unearthed ceramics,and then stages them according to the chronological tombs and the correlations between ceramics,and then summarizes the characteristics of each period.Then,taking the ceramics of Chaoyang’s Sui-Tang tombs as a phased reference,according to the existing tombs of the year,and looking for all the information that can judge the year of the non-chronological tombs,such as the tomb form,co-production,existing type bridge link,compared with the known year materials of other regions,combined with the important political events occurring in Chaoyang during the Sui-Tang dynasties,which can help to discuss the year of each period.Finally,combined with the historical background,this paper discusses the reasons for the rise and fall of the ceramics in each period.The fourth chapter is to analyze the cultural factors of ceramics.First of all,the paper accounts for the background reasons for complex cultural factors of the ceramics.By comparing with the cultures of the Northern Wei Dynasty,Koguryo,Sui-Tang,Bohai and Qidan,the pottery unearthed from the Chaoyang Sui-Tang’s tombs not only has the cultural factors of the Northern Wei Dynasty,Koguryo,but also has an impact on Bohai pottery,some of which have local characteristics,and even have some associations with Qidan.By comparing with Sui-Tang tombs excavated in Hebei,Xi’an,Henan and other regions,Chaoyang Sui-Tang tombs’ figures and models are affected by these areas at the same time,closer to Hebei in the shape and style,and mostly belong to Hebei Xing Kiln.The fifth chapter is to analyze the origin of porcelain and glazed pottery under the condition of mastering the kiln sites and burial materials in the northern region of the Sui-Tang dynasties.Through the analysis of the characteristics of these objects,the origin of porcelain is mainly in Hebei Xing Kiln,Henan Gongyi Kiln.Henan Gongyi Huangye Kiln is the main origin of glazed pottery,a small number of products belong to Xing Kiln.The conclusion summarizes the gains and shortcomings of this paper.
