Since the establishment of the master of Chinese International Education in 2007,it has been committed to cultivating high-level,applied,compound and international professionals who can adapt to the international promotion of Chinese and be competent for various teaching tasks.However,Chinese internationalization promotion is an activity involving cross-cultural communication which is an important part of Chinese teachers’ daily teaching,life and work.Therefore,the cultivation of intercultural communication ability of students majoring in Chinese international education has been paid more and more attention.In this context,this paper studies the intercultural communicative competence of Chinese international education students.Furthermore,the key content of this paper is to explore the elements of improving intercultural communicative competence.Based on Chen Guoming’s Intercultural Communication Sensitivity Scale and Intercultural Communication Efficacy Scale,this paper makes an investigation on the emotional and behavioral abilities of students majoring in Chinese International Education in Xi’an Shiyou University.Besides,combined with the reality,this paper analyzes the factors such as grade,major,personal character,teaching methods,after-school activities and cross-cultural communication experience,and carries out the investigation and research in the form of questionnaire and SPSS data analysis method.Through the above research,the relevant conclusions are drawn.First,the overall level of intercultural communication sensitivity of students majoring in Chinese International Education in Xi’an Shiyou University is higher than the level of self-efficacy.The overall sensitivity is at the middle and high level,and the self-efficacy is at the middle level.In the classification of “Foreign Internship Student and Domestic Internship Student”,foreign interns are more sensitive and effective than domestic interns on the whole.However,there is a lack of confidence in the process of participating in intercultural communication.Specifically,in terms of emotional ability,the level of interactive confidence is low.Second,overseas experience helps foreign internship student to enhance their awareness of respecting cultural differences,but on the whole,the related dimensions of emotional ability and behavioral ability of foreign interns after going to work are lower than those before going to work.Therefore,we should fully consider the negative effects of cultural shock in the process of student training,and take some early warning measures.In the survey of related factors,grade,undergraduate major,frequency of students’ active participation in after class activities,teaching methods of intercultural communication and their own intercultural communication experience have a significant impact on intercultural communication ability.On the basis of conclusion,this paper puts forward some suggestions to improve the intercultural communication ability of Chinese master students.First,based on the improvement of language ability,communication skills are strengthened.Meanwhile,the early warning and recovery mechanism of communication confidence is established.Second,in terms of teaching methods,we should adhere to the mixed teaching,so as to create more opportunities for students to participate in cross-cultural communication activities and quickly and effectively improve their cross-cultural communication ability.Finally,we shall encourage students to accumulate more experience in teaching Chinese as a foreign language,give full play to internship bonus,and do a good job in career development guidance and planning...
