Chinese Textbooks Of Japan In The Meiji Period

Japan has a long history of Chinese education.And the Meiji period was an important stage of development of Chinese education in Japan.Compared with the previous Chinese education,Chinese education had undergone a great change in the Meiji era.This article takes Yaxiya Yanyuji as the research object.As the first Beijing Mandarin textbook in Japan,Yaxiya Yanyuji was compiled by Japanese scholar Guangbujing.It has an important historical position in the history of Chinese education in Japan.Yaxiya Yanyuji translated by Thomas Francis Wade’s Yuyan Zierji as a version.As an important textbook for learning Beijing Mandarin during the Meiji period,it has certain research value.This article analyzes the content of Yaxiya Yanyuji and it is divided into the following parts:The first part is the introduction of Yaxiya Yanyuji.Firstly,it introduces the reason and background of the topic selection.Secondly,four points of research purpose and significance are put forward.Then the research status and research methods are introduced.The current research situation includes the study of Japanese Chinese textbooks during the Meiji period and the study of Yaxiya Yanyuji.The second part is main content of Yaxiya Yanyuji,which is the main body of this thesis.Firstly,I will summarize the presentation of the content of each volume.Secondly,through the distinction of language and culture,the selection and classification of the content of each volume of teaching materials are analyzed and studied.The third part is the compilation ideas and layout characteristics of Yaxiya Yanyuji.Firstly,according to the content,I will analyze the compilation ideas.Secondly,by analyzing the layout characteristics of the book,I will research its feasibility as a teaching material for Chinese as a foreign language.The fourth part is the historical status and evaluation of Yaxiya Yanyuji.I will summarize the advantages and disadvantages of the book.Analyze its historical status by summarizing its inheritance and development of Yuyan Zierji and its influence on Beijing Mandarin textbooks.The fifth part is the conclusion.It summarizes the main content of this paper and puts forward its shortcomings.
