The Miao is a polytheistic ethnic group.The objects of belief range from nature worship to totem worship to ancestor worship and even various heaven and earth gods.The fusion of many gods and the fusion of various cultures of the Miao people’s folk beliefs and culture reflects that they have different ways of inheriting and developing their own excellent traditional culture in different regions.This paper selects Paibi Chestnut Village in Hunan Huayuan with relatively complete preservation of traditional culture as the core research site,and gradually discovered that ancestor worship is its core belief,and the core values behind ancestor worship are in the same line as nature worship and totem worship in the region.Folk tales are embodied in the oral expression of the carrier.This article starts from the interactive relationship between the narrative of folk stories and the practice of folk beliefs,and uses research methods such as literature research,field investigations,case studies and comparative studies to try to clarify the interactive relationship between the oral expressions of ancestor worship and life practice of the Miao ethnic group in Miao Village,and examine them.The belief characteristics and value orientation behind it clarify the spiritual core and behavioral path of the formation of his belief in folklore psychology,and then discover the internal reason why his culture can be passed down to this day and keep its vitality forever.First,by observing the natural and cultural environment of Chestnut Village and its area,clarify the origin and generation context of the story,and analyze the main human origin myths,family and hero stories,festival customs and legends,place names and mountain god legends from the oral language system.The types of folk tales are divided into categories to analyze the belief expressions behind them,and then summarize the characteristics of the diversity,regionality and utilitarianism of the folk beliefs of the Miao ethnic group in Banli Village.Secondly,the main belief connotation of the ancestor worship in the village of chestnut is abstracted from the expression of folk tales,and the ancestors of the ethnic groups such as Nuo Gong Nuo,the Dragon God,the Bamboo King,the heroes of the tribes such as Chi You and Huandou,and the clan family first and the benefactor and other family elders Analyze and observe its manifestation in the daily life practice of Chestnut Village.At the same time,select the two belief practices of Huokeng Jijiaxian and Earth Temple worship ancestors,which are not involved in the folklore system,and analyze the "Apodudong" ancestors who are based on tolerance and harmony,serve themselves for the purpose,and strengthen cohesion as the core.Worship the order of faith.Finally,it further explores the spiritual core and practice path of the folk beliefs in Chestnut Village.From the interaction between oral expression and behavioral practice,it explains the folk psychology of the people’s psychological perception system.The ethnic cultural factor "self-immortality" makes the pursuit of life continuity and hard work become the spiritual core.Under cultural adaptation,the people of Chestnut Village constantly adjust their folk beliefs around their spiritual core.Not only from their conscious awareness,they enrich the connotation of their beliefs by expanding their belief objects,adding diversified functions,and generalizing sacrificial rituals,but also in folklore.Through the path of identity conversion and festival shaping,the faith will better serve its own culture.The verbal expression of the folk beliefs of the Miao people in the village of Miao and the related thinking about the life practice are helpful to explore the reasons why its excellent traditional culture maintains its vitality,and then provide a directional idea for the inheritance and development of the excellent traditional culture in the village of chestnut.At the same time,it is also conducive to finding a creative path that is reasonable,suitable and sustainable in accordance with the inheritance and development of local folk culture.
