As an important vernacular novel in the Ming Dynasty,the book has a strong colloquial color and involves all aspects of the society,vividly reflecting the social style and characteristics of the times in the late Ming Dynasty,although a few dialects are mixed in,on the whole,it can reflect the language features of the late Ming Dynasty to a certain extent.This paper is based on the generalized theory of judgement sentence in the form and meaning of "Xing Shi Yan".In form,this paper makes a categorical study on the structural form and composition of sentence,based on copula,this book divides the judgement sentence into four forms and analyzes the composition of subject and predicate in each judgement sentence.In terms of meaning,starting from the semantic relationship between subject and predicate,this paper divides the judgement sentence into five semantic types,covering various judgement sentence.Through comprehensive analysis,preliminary concluded that in modern times,Chinese judgement sentence mainly reflecting with copula "Shi",other types of judgement sentence are complementary,in modern times,the judgement sentence with copula "Xi" is under gradual development,at the same time,the composition of the subject and predicate of judgement sentence still are given priority to noun component and pronoun,but in the semantics,the semantic type of explanation dominated in judgement sentence instead of the traditional semantic type of equality and genericity.Finally,the article regards "Xian Yu Jing" and "Xing Shi Yan" as representative,comparing the medieval and modern two periods of judgement sentence diachronically,it is concluded that the modern times of Chinese judgement sentence plays an important transitional role,especially in the late modern Chinese judgement sentence,which in the diachronic development has been out of the shadow of the medieval times,closing to modern Chinese in form and meaning.The article is mainly composed of the following five parts:The first part is the introduction.It mainly includes five parts,one is the research summary of "Xing Shi Yan";Second,the reason and research value of the topic;Third,version description and corpus selection;The fourth is the research method and the viewpoint of Chinese history division;The fifth is an overview of the research on judgement sentence,which includes two parts:a review of the present situation of the research on judgement sentence and an overview of the research on judgement sentence in a monograph.The second part starts from the form of judgement sentence and divides it into five kinds of judgement sentence that there is no copula、judgement sentence with copula "Shi" 、judgement sentence with copula "Wei" 、judgement sentence with copula "Xi",and analyzes the constituent of subject and predicate of each kind of judgement sentence.Based on the semantic relationship between subject and predicate,the third part starts from the meaning of judgement sentence,divided it into five types:equivalent semantic type、generic semantic type、figurative semantic type、evaluative semantic type and explanatory semantic type,and expounds their respective meanings.The fourth part makes a diachronic comparison between "Xian Yu Jing" and "Xing Shi Yan",combines the commonness and personality of the middle ancient times and modern times,and makes a comparison in four aspects of the types of judgement sentence 、 the negative judgement sentence 、 the phenomenon of conjunction of copula and the phenomenon of preposition of copula.The fifth part is the epilogue.First of all,this paper summarizes the structural form、composition、semantic type、diachronic comparison characteristics of "Xing Shi Yan",and finally briefly introduces the application of the department of copula "Xi",which came into being in modern Chinese.
