| In this paper,based on the text of Superfluous Things,combined with Wen Zhenheng’s personal life and the special background of the late Ming Dynasty,an in-depth examination of the implements in Superfluous Things is made.From the dimensions of "utensils" and "things".this paper summarizes Wen Zhenheng’s aesthetic concept of utensils,and evaluates its contemporary value.Through exploration,we can discover problems and gain enlightenment,which can serve the past for the present and help us understand the material world in a deeper and more effective way.This paper is divided into four chapters:The first chapter combs the concept of utensils from the aesthetic perspective,and explores the aesthetics of utensils in Superfluous Things from three aspects:the context of The Times,the family culture and the personal life.The formation of Wen Zhenheng’s aesthetic thought of utensils was not only influenced by his personal cultural accomplishment and official career experience,but also influenced by the culture of Wen’s family,and also benefited from the special social background of the late Ming Dynasty.The second chapter discusses the utensil aesthetic thought of pursuing the natural leisurely and comfortable way from the Angle of "seeking the Tao by virtue of virtue".From the four aspects of color,material,shape and decoration,this paper probes into the process of the natural nature of the utensils,watches and experiences the Tao in the utensils materially,and analyzes the utensils from the aesthetic utility of the use to the aesthetic super utility of the use of the useless.From the material level to the spiritual level,this paper analyzes the inheritance and breakthrough of the ritual and music connotation of the implements in Ming Dynasty.The implements have endless metaphorical and symbolic meaning,and have long-lasting poetic and pictorial meaning in the visual imagination.The metaphysical pursuit of the beauty of utensils can be summarized into three realms:pleasing to the eye,pleasing to the heart and pleasing to the mind and pleasing to the god.The third chapter discusses the aesthetic thought of utensils showing elegant taste from the Angle of "blending body and matter".Wen zhenheng constructed a kind of objective lens of abandoning vulgarity and seeking elegance through the Superfluous Things,and the utensils separated the idealized aesthetic space of scholars,leading the utensils of elegant taste.In terms of aesthetic taste and low definition is very clear,exclusive bright and gaudy citizen interest,resist costly weightier,the court of gout,standard for outstanding scholar of interest,from the elegant lens constructed to mood creation,implements the area lies between a literary aesthetic space,settle the philistines,ivory tower became the aesthetic taste of men of letters,the boundary of the aesthetic in the form of artifacts.The fourth chapter discusses the contemporary value of the utensil aesthetics in Superfluous Things.From the three aspects of the return to the classics,the inspiration to the present and the dialogue with the world,Wen Zhen-heng’s ideas not only played a leading role at that time,but also had a profound influence on the present. |
