"Sonata for Clarinet and Piano" was composed by Leonard Bernsteinis which loved by many clarinet players because of its rhythms and some spots of jazz style,and has now become one of the standard repertoires for clarinet performance.Through analysis about the piece creation background,life experience of the composer,the music structure and performance difficulties,and how to use the jazz-style techniques in this piece,can lead clarinetists play this piece easily.This sonata full of changes which tests the skills and style for clarinetist.The author has made some conclusions via a long-term exercises and consulting with experts,which can provide players with a reference method for practicing this sonata.After fully understand and master this piece,hope clarinetists can clearly the basic jazzy techniques commonly used in,so that they can be more confident when performing,and also convenient for performers to draw inferences when encountering works of similar style.
