Performance Analysis Of Vieuxtemps’s The First Moment Of "Sonata In B Flat Major For Viola And Piano"(Op.36)

The late 19th century Belgian composer Henri Vieuxtemps’s(1820-1881)masterpiece Sonata in B flat major for viola and piano(Op.36)is also the only complete sonata for viola.He also wrote the only complete sonata for viola in his creative career.In the era of the rise of "title music" represented by France,Vieuxtemps should adhere to the musical vocabulary of absolute music.The innovation of the Franco-Belgian School in absolute music writing paradigm-mainly reflected in the continuation of the rules and paradigms of Austrian-German classical sonatas,and the elegant and exquisite French classical art transplanted into violin playing technology.By analyzing the first movement of Sonata in B flat major for viola and piano,we can examine the overall artistic style and artistic value of viola playing technology.We can understand the concept and style consciousness of Vieuxtemps’s writing in absolute music.This paper focuses on the first movement of the Sonata.The full text is divided into three chapters,which explains the historical style of the composer,analyzes the composition,harmony,material,and the last chapter focuses on the playing technique and style.From the comprehensive examination of the work,on the basis of the work,can further understand and reflect on the instrumental concept of the Franco-Belgian School,hope to provide more sufficient text and materials for the research and art understanding of the work,to promote the in depth study of the "Sonata in B flat major for viola and piano" and the instrumental creation of the Franco-Belgian School.
