Hengyanlu is a dictionary of common sayings written by Qian Daxin in the Qing Dynasty,including Volume Ⅰ auspicious language,personal type,communication type,reputation type,Volume Ⅱ common language,single character type,reduplication type,Volume Ⅲ kinship appellation type,Volume Ⅳ official type,election type,legal prohibition type,goods and property type,Volume Ⅴ popular etiquette type,dwelling utensil type,diet and clothing type,Volume Ⅵ Wenhan type,prescription type,idiom type.There are 745 words in 6 volumes,with a wide range of meanings and comprehensive documentary evidence.It provides a rich corpus for the study of Chinese commonly used words and dialects,and has a high value in the history of Chinese linguistics.Looking at the previous achievements,there are few studies on the internal semantics of the vocabulary in Hengyanlu,most of which stay at the level of lexical form.Therefore,from the perspective of core meaning,this paper will explore the meaning of words in Hengyanlu,grasp the core semantics and essential features of words,so as to better connect most of the meanings of the word,form the unique core semantic magnetic field of each word,control the extended development of the whole meaning,provide reference for the collation of single word meaning system,and add value to the systematic research of Chinese lexical semantics.The specific content is divided into the following five parts:The first chapter is the introduction,which summarizes the research object of this paper,combs the research status of the core meaning from the two levels of "concept"and "practical application",and expounds the reason and research content of this paper,discusses the theoretical significance and application significance of this paper,as well as four research methods of original meaning extraction,feature deduction,sense analysis and quotation.The second chapter is the study of polysemous core meaning.14 polysemous words are extracted from 59 examples in Hengyanlu.According to the meanings of the words in reference books such as Chinese Dazidian and Chinese Dacidian,the core meaning theory is used to identify and exclude the false loan meaning and pragmatic meaning,the core meaning magnetic field of polysemous words is summed up,which provides reference for lexicography and sense arrangement for new ideas.The third chapter is the study of the core meaning of synonyms,which selects 12 groups of synonyms from Hengyanlu,a total of 26 words,describes the core meaning of each group of words by constructing the core meaning magnetic field,meaning analysis and other methods,deeply excavates the essential differences between synonyms,solves the two problems of "the common semantic source of synonyms"and "the core semantic difference of synonyms",and provides a basis for the analysis of modern oral synonyms.The fourth chapter is the research on the core meaning of coordinate disyllabic words.13 synonymous coordinate disyllabic words and 2 similar coordinate disyllabic words are selected from Hengyanlu to explore the core meaning of two morphemes in the same vocabulary,discuss the internal commonness,similar nature or relationship of interlinked meaning of the two core meanings,and find out the deep reason for the combination of coordinate disyllabic words.The fifth chapter is the conclusion,which summarizes the application value of the core meaning theory in the study of hengyanlu vocabulary in the aspects of linking polysemous words,discriminating synonyms and exploring the motivation of word formation of paratonic disyllabic words,and explains the problems and shortcomings of the article.
