Liugoutai site is a settlement in the early Bronze Age in Gansu-Qinghai region, which belongs to the late stage of Siba culture in cultural nature.Based on the method of Paleoethnobotany, this paper studies the remains of carbonized plants in 154 soil samples and phytoliths in 36 soil samples collected from Liugoutai site, and then obtains a preliminary understanding of the agricultural structure of the settlement, the utilization of wild plants and the economic mode of production. The research on plant Archaeology of Liugoutai site shows that the site is a diversified economic model of farming and animal husbandry, supplemented by hunting and fishing.Barley has always been the main crop, followed by foxtail millet, broomcorn millet and wheat. In the process of development from the early stage to the late stage, the structure of crops in the site has been adjusted, which is mainly manifested in the decline of the status of millet crops and the rise of the status of wheat crops(especially barley). At the same time, there are signs of agricultural decline in the site, which may be related to climate deterioration.Based on the study of Liugoutai site, this paper also discusses the patterns of subsistence of Siba culture in the early Bronze Age of Gansu-Qinghai region, and tries to find out the law:from the perspective of time, the early Siba culture mainly plant millet crops, and the late Siba culture mainly plant wheat crops, and the influencing factors included natural conditions and crop yield; From the perspective of space,it seems that the culture in the eastern part of Hexi Corridor is dominated by agriculture, while the culture in the western part is dominated by animal husbandry. We speculate that the influencing factors may be related to precipitation. There are six chapters in this paper:the first chapter is the introduction, which mainly introduces the background of the topic and the general situation of the economic research of Siba culture. The second chapter is the general situation of regional research, including the natural environment and the development of archaeological culture in Gansu-Qinghai region. The third chapter is the research materials and methods, which mainly introduces the materials to be studied and the research methods used in this paper. The fourth chapter is the results and analysis, which mainly describes the data results of the research on the carbonized plant remains of Liugoutai site, and on this basis, compares the changes of the carbonized plant remains of two stages of the site. The fifth chapter is the subsistence of the Early Bronze Age settlements in Gansu-Qinghai region, mainly summarizes the subsistence of Liugoutai site, and tries to explore the subsistence of the early Bronze Age settlements(mainly Siba Culture)in Gansu-Qinghai region. The sixth chapter is the conclusion, mainly summarizes the core content of this paper, and also points out the advantages and disadvantages of this paper. |
