| Roman culture is the inheritance and development of Greek culture.In academic circles,Greek culture and Roman culture are usually referred to as Greco-roman culture.Education is an important part of Greco-roman culture.School education in the early Roman empire as an important part of ancient Roman education.In the process of absorbing and digesting Greek culture and education,it not only inherited the essence of Greek education,and according to their own situation and needs to make some adjustments,modifications and supplements,created the excellent culture of the nation,formed a unique Roman education model.The purpose of this thesis is to combine the school education of early Roman empire with the history of that time,so as to achieve a comprehensive understanding of the school education of early Roman empire.This thesis consists of five parts except the conclusion.The first part discusses the purpose and significance of the topic selection,domestic and foreign research trends,research methods,innovative points and shortcomings,etc.The second part discusses the social and cultural background of school education in early Roman empire,and analyzes the historical foundation of school education in early Roman empire from three aspects: the reference provided by school education in ancient Greece,the foundation of school education in the republic period and the needs of the development of Roman empire.The third part,on the basis of careful study of historical materials,outlines the origin and basic development of school education at three levels in the early empire,and discusses the teaching content of school education at each level.The fourth part mainly analyzes the school structure of early Roman empire.This paper analyzes the teaching situation of Roman schools from the perspective of teaching time and equipment.At the same time,the paper discusses the general situation of teacher’s salary,educational thought and students in the early Roman empire,and shows the relationship between teachers and students in the early Roman empire.The fifth part analyzes and discusses the reasons for the decline of school education in the Roman empire.The sixth part makes a tentative analysis and discussion on the historical influence of the formation of school education in early Roman empire. |
