Research On The Music Texture And Performance Of Chopin’s Third Piano Sonata

Chopin,known as the "Piano Poet",was a great Polish composer and pianist during the Romantic Era,composing three piano sonatas in his life.Among these sonatas,the Third Piano Sonata,as Chopin’s late work,is particularly mature and profound,significantly reflecting Chopin’s romantic innovation based on the principles of classical sonata creation.The thesis sets the music texture of Chopin’s Third Piano Sonata as the research object,analyzes the application of romantic innovative techniques,and further explores the corresponding performance points on the basis of the author’s performance experience.The main text can be divided into three parts:Chapter One provides an overview of the composer’slife,creation background and the historical evolution of the music texture;Chapter Two studies the Music Texture via analyzing the Homophonic Texture and Polyphonic Texture.By understanding Chopin’s romantic expression on the music texture,the research focus can be found for the following performance analysis;Chapter Three focuses on the performance from three perspectives of melody,rhythm and pedal.On the basis of the key problems found in the research of music texture,the corresponding performance principles,key points and training methods are suggested,stemming from the daily performance experience and summary.Meanwhile,the in-depth understanding for this topic was obtained by utilizing the pianist’s audio videos.
