Research On The Image Of Wen Tingshi’s Poetry

Wen Tingshi(1856-1904)was a prominent figure in the political field of the late Qing Dynasty.His ups and downs of life experience and extraordinary knowledge and talent made his poems highly artistic in both content and form.Wen Tingshi’s poems advocate elegance and xing send to follow the Tang and Song meteorology as the purport.With the emergence of poetry schools in the late Qing Dynasty,Wen Tingshi absorbed and brought forth the new,and created poems with its own style and characteristics.This paper is divided into three chapters:The first chapter describes the life experience of Wen Ting shi,about literary works and poetic ideas.Wen Tingshi received the highest honor of being near the emperor and being the emperor’s teacher.He also experienced the bitterness of being dismissed and punished and running for his life everywhere.The influence of his teachers and friends had a profound influence on his direction of study and the formation of his thoughts.Wen Tingshi’s poetic proposition is to compare and repose,which is the orientation of his poetic creation,and the rich and varied use of images in his poems is the practice of his poetic proposition.The second chapter is the main body of the article.For the image from a wide range of poetry can be divided into real image with the reality,the author will be the reality of poetry image is divided into animal image,nature and life,animal image and cranes,eagle image and wild goose,natural image with the wind,the rain image,cloud image,the sea and the waves,life image with lamps image and wine.The non-realistic image is divided into religious image,dream image and dragon image.Based on the analysis of poems,this chapter focuses on the analysis of realistic images and non-realistic images in prose and poetry,and analyzes the rich connotation of these images.The third chapter analyzes the characteristics of image use and artistic characteristics of Wen Tingshi’s poetry.The style of Wen Tingshi’s poetry has a great deal to do with the choice of its image.The complex and changeable combination of images and the close arrangement of images make his poems present a variety of beauty.The artistic characteristics of his poems are the good use of symbols,implicative and subtle,and profound and meaningful,which is related to the appearance of a large number of allusions and images in his poems.
