A Study On The Professional Ethics Of Jingdezhen Ceramic Craftsmen

The ceramic culture of Jingdezhen City is with a long history,and its exquisite ceramic technique is well-known through out the world.The technique cannot exist without craftsmen.However,the research on the professional ethics of ceramics industry and ceramics craftsmen of the city is still very limited.This paper studies craftsmen of the city,illustrates the professional ethics of the ceramics industry by using ethical narrative method and value analysis,analyzes the value of professional ethics and discusses the value of professional ethics construction.Firstly,this thesis traces the formation and development of professional ethics of Jingdezhen ceramic craftsmen.After describing the regional characteristics of Jingdezhen and the system of porcelain making process,the thesis analyzes the characteristics of ceramic craftsmen in such working environment,probes into their insights,and explores their professional behaviors that promote the historical evolution of Jingdezhen ceramic industry and the ethical formation of the ceramic craftsman.Secondly,based on the ethical narrative methods of virtue ethics,the thesis narrates the story of Jingdezhen ceramic craftsmen from the perspective of professional ethics and realm,analyzes the professional characteristics,the unique personality of the ceramic craftsmen under the specific field and the things they’ve done,and tries to figure out what kind of ethical value orientation the ceramic industry professional norms reflect.Finally,this thesis analyzes the connotation and the ethical spirits of "honesty","faith","respect",and "wisdom" of ceramic craftsman’s professional ethics from three ethical dimensions:human-versus-object,human-versus-human,and human-versus-ego,as well as the contemporary cultivation of ceramic craftsmen by applying the value analysis method of normative ethics.By exploring the deep implication of the professional ethics,the function and function of the professional ethics of ceramic craftsmen are discussed in a beneficial way,which can better understand the value of The Times of the professional ethics of ceramic craftsmen,so as to obtain enlightenment significance.Based on the above analysis,the thesis summarizes the deep connotation of the professional ethics of ceramic craftsmen and the value of ceramic craftsman’s professional ethics,and obtains its enlightenment.
