As an important part of contemporary literature and art,the dissemination process of The Red Detachment of Women has certain research value.Setting The Red Detachment of Women in the cross--media perspective,the present study explores the relationship between the red women’s army and various types of media in its communication process,the influence of communication context on its communication,the diversified influence of audience demand on its communication,and it can adapt to the communication needs of new media era through different reforms.The first chapter of this thesis focuses on the impact of media technology on The Red Detachment of Women from cross--media perspective,and the significant changes in the form of information and media: this piece of work was initially spread in the form of reportage with the help of literature and art of The People’s Liberation Army.With the development of communication technology,film version was produced to spread this work.In order to expand the social impact of revolutionary literary works,this work has also been widely spread through electronic media.Under the influence of the film’s great communication effect,the ballet appeared at the right time,further enriching its form of communication.After the reform and opening up,the audience’s information needs show a variety of forms,and the remake of "Red Classics" became a trend for a time.The publication of the novel version has not only filled the gap of communication forms of literary works before,but also promoted the important value of paper media.With the rapid development and popularization of television media,the TV series version has gained more and more favor from the audience.The second chapter discusses the influence of communication context on the information types and communication of The Red Detachment of Women.Communication context is the communication ecology formed by politics,economy and culture,which plays a vital role in the production and dissemination of information products.The change of information type in this work is closely related to the change of communication context in China.The third chapter analyzes the influence that the audience,as the receiver of information dissemination,has on the communication process of The Red Detachment of Women.These influences are not only reflected in the choice of information dissemination types and media,but also in the change of text content.Compared with the traditional media,the mode of communication in the new media era has undergone significant innovation,which brings new challenges and opportunities to the contemporary communication of this work.Therefore,in the fourth chapter,the paper discusses on approaches to adjusting the communication strategy of this work in the new media era according to the development needs,the new media context.In order to attract more audience and spread the revolutionary spirit,efforts should be paid to establish diversified communication channels.In addition to traditional media,Internet thinking and media integration thinking,and big data and so on can be used to raise the dissemination and acceptance of red classics such as The Red Detachment of Women to a new level.For the communication research of The Red Detachment of Women from the perspective of cross media,this study aims to achieve the following purposes:(1)to explore the influence of the media in different historical periods on the information types and communication channels of The Red Detachment of Women;(2)to arouse people’s attention to the influence of the communication context,especially the political system,on its information form and media;(3)to study the influence of the audience’s information needs in different periods on the information form and media choice of The Red Detachment of Women;(4)to explore the media strategies and communication methods of this work in the new media era.As one of the "red" classics,the heroism and idealism contained in the work can increase the audience’s deep "red" belief in all times,so that the audience in the era of "entertainment to death" can realize the individual responsibility for home and country when they appreciate this "Red Classic".
