As an independent photographic type within the photographic system,landscape photography,like documentary photography,which focuses on shooting real scenes and portrait photography,which mainly shoots figures’ mental outlook and image feature,is an important photographic type.Its objects are mainly landscapes which are artificially changed and its modes of observation are predominated by sober observation,rational cognition and relatively objective evaluation.Artists need to think and judge constantly the meanings and value of their works in the practice.From the level of visual expression,seldom do figures appear in the pictures and usually the pictures embody observation of and gazing at the social landscape without any embellishment.Despite the rare appearance of figures in the pictures,usually photographic works enable us to perceive the trace of people’s living,as well as their persistence state.As for the creative shooting method,image artists can shoot the landscape that they view directly and with their strong personal thought,employ force to intervene in a certain social phenomenon using exaggerated shooting ways,create works combining the schemes in traditional painting with photography,and create works combining the typical landscape symbols in the current society with digital technique.Through those expressionless image works which are created by image artists,we can perceive the all-embracing visual features in the current society.At the same time,as the photographic themes and notional awareness change,the landscape photography has become one of the outcomes of exploration and selection by the contemporary artists.Chapter 1 of this thesis narrates briefly the concepts of landscape photography and organizes the evolution of landscape photography,as well as its development and evolution in the history,in order to deepen the understanding of landscape photography.Chapter 2 analyzes the status-quo of contemporary landscape in China,mas well as the development tendency of contemporary landscape landscape in China.Chapter 3 is a key chapter in this thesis,which mainly perform analysis from the form of expression of contemporary landscape photography in China,including direct presentation of landscape,intervention of artists,borrowing of traditional schemes,as well as reconstruction of landscape image.Chapter 4 depicts the relevant thought and methods regarding the practice of creation. |
