Ethical Studies In Traditional Funerals Of The Lisu In Houqiao Town,Tengchong City

As a finite existence,man cannot escape the natural laws of birth,illness,and death.With the development of human civilization,the process of disposing of the remains of the deceased gradually evolved into a funeral ceremony.The burial of the deceased in different nations,different regions,and different times varies due to different cultures,beliefs,and customs.Funeral is one of the important components of human civilization.Death brings philosophical thinking about life,and funerals present ethics in the form of folk culture.A study of the ethics of a nation or a place,funeral cannot be bypassed.The traditional funeral ceremony of the Lisu in Houqiao Town,Tengchong City contains rich cultural connotations and ethical thoughts,and plays an irreplaceable role in other folklore activities for the inheritance of ethnic culture and moral education.The author has interviewed Nipa more than 10 who hosted the funeral affairs in Houqiao Community,Danzha Community and Lunma Community of Houqiao Town,and including,the villagers group leader,director of the community,the elderly,and homeless families,such as more than 30 Lisu people.The author personally participated in the traditional funeral activities of the Lisu people in the Mali village group of Houqiao community,participated Zuanpeng ceremony in the Changtang village group,Participated in the ceremony of the release souls from purgator of Sancha River in Danzha Village.On the basis of a large number of field research,refer to the Lisu people part of the five books on ethnic issues,Lisu customs and cultural materials and other funeral research literature,this thesis combines the ethical knowledge learned from the perspective of ethics,and adopts literature review,ethnography,field surveys,interview methods to research the ethical thoughts and moral concepts contained in the traditional funeral of the Lisu people in Houqiao Town,Tengchong City.The religious concept of immortal soul and the filial piety concept that pursues a long distance are the decisive conditions for the formation of Lisu traditional funeral rituals.The first chapter of the thesis introduces the original religious beliefs of Lisu and Lisu,and examines the formation and development of Lisu traditional funeral.The second chapter introduces the traditional funeral ceremony of Lisu people inHouqiao Town,Tengchong City.The third chapter analyzes the moral behavior presented in the second funeral ceremony,and summarizes the ethical concepts contained in the funeral ceremony,such as the filial piety view of respecting the old and the filial piety,the order of the family in order to be young and old,and the difference between men and women Views on gender ethics,views on ethics that prohibit incest,views on the neighborhood that are united and help each other,etc.The fourth chapter summarizes the characteristics,values and social functions of ethics and morals included in the Lisu traditional funeral.
