| Industrial heritage is subordinate to cultural heritage.Industries enrich the categories of industrial heritage.Continuous operation distinguishes alcoholic industrial heritage from all other types of industrial heritage,also in terms of protection and reuse.Specific location,climatic circumstances,and cultural background compose the scale of alcoholic industry.Liquor labels in Yibin are protected by the name of geographical indication,and some are well known in China.The concept of industrial heritage gets much attention for the advancement of post-industrial society in recent years while the country is stressing the preservation and reuse of industrial heritage,especially some typical ones.The paper try to find some rules of alcoholic industry’s origin and development by document review,and explore ideas for the future of the industrial heritage’s adaptive reuse in Yibin by analyzing exist cases.The paper begins with the origin and development of traditional alcoholic industry in Yibin,analyzing the liquor industry’s history,the development of enterprises and reasons for the formation of alcoholic industrial heritage.Secondly,illuminating the heritage’s recent condition by some cases and then assessing their values.Finally,after clarifying the restraints and myths,the paper will use protection theories of industrial heritage,also combine with some ideas about heritage preservation to discuss the proper methods of liquor industrial heritage protection and reuse in Yibin.The results show that there are plenty of resources of alcoholic industrial heritage.Industrial heritage tourism,the establishment of database,and industry archaeology activities will be useful for the practices of preservation.The practices of protection and reuse need to take account of new viewpoints and concepts because of the initial stage that industrial heritage preservation step in.More explorations will be added to the research while it remains unclear whether tourism is suitable for the protection reuse of alcoholic industrial heritage. |
