The city is created by human,while it also has some impact on people’s living and mental condition.Due to the city has limited capacity to varieties of resources,with the development of the economy of the society,it will produce social problems,which will influence people’s living condition.At the same time,with the rapid process of urbanization,a large number of metal and psychological problems has been arisen.The artist who living in the cities owns a strong sense of responsibility.They hope to draw public attention to these issues with the help of their art work.During the process of painting,the author is affected by three artists,they are Maurice Utrillo,Edward Hopper and Brett Amory.Maurice Utrillo used the poetic stroke,formed a painting with a special rhythmic composition.He delivered a lonely emotion through the lines and the color of the buildings.Edward Hopper is very talented at using the light and charactering the feeling of separation between human and the scenery.He expressed a spirit of “transference” with these painting skills.Brett Amory expressed the life of people on the edge of the city from a unique perspective.He used the color of while frequently in his art work,and this expressed the same idea as the concept of “blank-leaving” in traditional Chinese paintings.As we all know,art is a creative activity.It is not only the process of describing the nature,but also the process of creation.The artist first watches the nature and tries to find its inner order,and then expresses it with his unique art language.The author determines her main painting topic as the night scenery of the city.She finds the view from her surroundings,and looks for the moment that touch her most.In this way,the author gradually forms her idea of how to paint her work.Meanwhile,she continuously explores the language of oil painting,concerning the aspects of picture composition,shape and color.Notably,the author pays great attention to the atmosphere creation and the arrangement of black and white.In her paintings,she intentionally breaks the original outline of the object,hoping to achieve an effect of approximate appearance.She would like to express a lonely feeling that people will feel when they are in these scenes.The author hopes to express her feelings in urban life through these work she has created.She also hopes to arise a strong sense of emotional resonance amongst other people.It would be great if the public can pay more attention to the psychological conditions of people living in the city.In this way,our society can develop more healthily and harmoniously.
