Compared with the study of semantic priming effect, the study of affective priming effect has become one of the hot topics in the field of emotional research in recent years.Fazio believes that in real life, when we are exposed to some stimuli with emotional information,it will produce emotional color influence on the subsequent stimulus information, which is affective priming effect. In the subsequent study of affective priming effect,it was found that influenced by many factors, such as potency, arousal, task form, word frequency, experimental paradigm in the process of empirical research, the time of stimulus presentation in the paradigm, and the way of stimulus information processing by individuals. Therefore, this paper uses different experimental paradigms(cross modal priming paradigm)and different experimental stimulus materials to explore the emotional priming effect under different language conditions. In Experiment 1,the cross modal priming paradigm was used to judge the consistency of emotional potency with auditory emotional words as the priming stimulus and emotional faces as the target stimulus.Thirty college students with English Chinese proficiency were selected as subjects. The experiment was designed with three factors of 2(Language type: English / Chinese)× 2(Emotional face type:Positive / Negative)× 2(Consistency condition: Consistent / Inconsistent). The results showed that: the reaction time to judge the valence of emotional face in Chinese was faster than that in English;the classification of positive emotional face in auditory emotional word priming was significant In addition, under the condition of mother tongue or second language, the reaction time of positive auditory emotional words and emotional faces when their valence is the same is faster than that of inconsistent ones, and the reaction time of negative auditory emotional words and emotional faces when their valence is the same is slower than that of inconsistent ones.In Experiment 2,the cross modal priming paradigm was also used.Differentfrom Experiment 1,experiment 2 turned the priming stimulus of Experiment 1 into the target stimulus(that is,the emotional face is the priming stimulus, and the auditory emotional word is the target stimulus)to explore the influence of the priming of emotional face on the processing of auditory emotional words. The results showed that: in the first and second language, there was no significant difference in response time and accuracy of emotional face and auditory emotional word valence judgment;in the first and second language, the activation of positive emotional face had an impact on auditory emotional word valence consistency judgment, and the activation of negative emotional face had an effect on auditory emotional word validity The effect of price consistency judgment is not significant.Based on the above two empirical studies,it is confirmed that different task forms and different language conditions or environments can affect the emotional priming effect and the results are different.
