In ancient Chinese classics,"Huainanzi" is a work with unique style,which was created in the early Western Han Dynasty.It aims at "observing the image of heaven and earth,connecting the ancient and modern things",integrates various theories,and is rich in content.It is another work after "Lu’s spring and Autumn Annals",which integrates the theories of the pre-Qin scholars into one.The myths in Huainanzi are rich in content,in which a large number of mythological materials are completely preserved,including the preservation of the previous myths,the adaptation of the previous myths,and the myths created by Huainanzi,which have made great contributions to the study of ancient Chinese myths in later generations.This paper takes the myth in Huainanzi as the research object,and explores and analyzes its classification,source,characteristics and value.The first part of the thesis classifies the myths in Huainanzi,which can be divided into five categories: creation myth,hero myth,astronomy myth,geography myth and weather myth.The second part is about the origin of the myth in Huainanzi.The content of the myth in Huainanzi is rich and disorderly,but its origin is mainly from ShanHaiJing,ChuCi,ZhuangZi.The myth of Huainanzi not only inherits,inherits,transforms or develops the myth of the previous generation,but also the myth first seen in Huainanzi.The third part analyzes the characteristics of the myth of Huainanzi,the cultural characteristics of the romantic rise of Zhuang and Chu,the distinctive style of the early Han Dynasty,the mature image system and the complex theme.The fourth part explores the value of the myth of Huainanzi.The myth of Huainanzi conveys the pursuit of Tao and the wish of immortality,expresses the creator’s idea of governing the world and the ideal of unification,and embodies the deconstruction of divinity and the ambiguity of identity.Its increasing literariness provides ideas for later myths. |
