Back in the 1970 s,research on burnout was well underway,focusing on the professional psychology.In recent years,more and more scholars at home and abroad have begun to focus on the study of burnout.As is known to all,learning burnout is widespread among college students,from primary and secondary school students to high vocational college students,and has become a learning problem that cannot be underestimated.Junior middle school is the watershed of middle school students’ life and the key period for the formation of junior middle school students’ outlook on life and values,one step forward is mature,one step backward is a gap,so the study of junior middle school students’ learning burnout problem,has an impact and role that can not be ignored.This paper aims to take junior high school students as the research object,deeply investigate the phenomenon of junior high school students’ English learning burnout,and put forward corresponding solutions to this problem,with a view to improving the quality and level of junior high school students’ English learningThis paper focuses on the following questions :(1)Is there a general English learning burnout among junior high school students?(2)what factors affect the burnout of junior high school students in English learning? To investigate and effectively solve the two problems above,the author in the huge collection of reading related literature,on the basis of the quantitative research and qualitative research combined two methods,S junior middle school of Zhengzhou city to 177 students in grade three as investigation object,through questionnaire survey and interviews between teachers and students in the form of a six-month investigation.Through SPASS,the questionnaire and interview results were analyzed and summarized,and the results showed:(1)There is a common phenomenon of learning burnout in junior high school students’ English learning;(2)Junior high school students’ English learning burnout is largely influenced by internal factors,including students’ personal interest in English learning,personal self-control,etc.,followed by external factors such as teachers,parents and learning environment.This paper further analyzes the causes of junior high school students’ English learning burnout from the four dimensions of students,parents,teachers and environment,and puts forward some methods and strategies based on this.Change education mode and concept,enhance psychological communication and exchange;Get rid of the old concept of "achievement first",care for children’s heart and growth and so on.
