In the middle ages,Christianity in Western Europe launched nine campaigns against Islam in the East, covering nearly 200 years(1096-1291).The common’s crusade is the first wave of Western Europe’s First Crusade to the East. This army started from Europe in April 1096 and collapsed in Asia Minor in November 1096.There are about 50000 people in the army, mainly under the leadership of hermit Peter. The common’s Crusades are mainly composed of ordinary people, including some knights, pilgrims and clergy. At present, the common’s Crusade is generally considered as a peasant uprising in the field of historiography, which has little value in historical research. In fact, the common’s Crusade has the same historical background as the First Crusade, and it is also one of the important events that can not be ignored in the First Crusade. The common’s crusade and The first Crusades have similar background, different organizational structure, the course of the Crusades and political, economic and social influence. The common’s crusade is not only the preview of the First Crusade, but also provides experience and lessons for the First Crusade. An in-depth study of the common’s Crusades can make us fully aware of the cruelty and cruelty of the war.All religions in the world should coexist peacefully. It should be the consensus of people all over the world to adhere to religious tolerance, reduce or even eliminate religious wars.
