Abstract/Summary:
The Wei,Jin,southern and northern dynasties,as a period of rapid development of artistic activities in Chinese history,gave birth to many splendid cultures,which included the first and second mature theories of landscape painting.Zong Bing and Wang Wei were both painters in the Wei,Jin,southern and northern dynasties during the Liu and song dynasties,it has made indelible contribution to the development of Chinese landscape painting,and the text which has been handed down contains the same strong aesthetic thought of landscape.The views of "clearing the bosom and savoring the image","pleasing the spirit" and "the deities descending to it" put forward in the theory of painting have laid a profound aesthetic foundation for the development of Chinese landscape painting,the revelation of painting theories such as "shape-based painting" and "shapebased painting" has greatly promoted the development of landscape painting and laid a foundation for the mature form of landscape painting.Therefore,this article will start from "painting landscape preface" and "painting",to explore the Wei and Jin period of scholars landscape aesthetic thought.This paper is divided into three parts.First of all,to explore the ancient times to the Wei and Jin dynasties landscape aesthetic,combing out the different periods of landscape cultural context.In the Wei and Jin Dynasties,the individual consciousness of the scholars was gradually awakened,and the landscape culture entered the scholars’ life with the inward transformation of the scholars’ vision,traveling to the mountains and rivers and getting close to nature became an important part of the scholar’s life.Under the long-term accumulation of culture,the natural landscape finally emerged from the political factors and became the aesthetic object pursued by the scholars.Secondly,it combs Zong Bing and Wang Wei’s life experience,puts Zong and Wang into the background of metaphysics,and analyzes their aesthetic mind of "emptiness and quietness" advocated in the aesthetic activities of landscape painting This paper probes into the aesthetic purpose of the subject seeking for pleasure in the process of appreciating the landscape painting,and studies the concrete expression of the landscape aesthetics influenced by Metaphysics and Buddhism in painting landscape preface and painting narration during the Wei,Jin and the southern and northern dynasties.In the last part,the author compares the ideological origin of Zong and Wang from their life experience and other literature works,and studies the influence of the metaphysical Buddhism thought on them.The difference of mood between "static observation" and "dynamic change" in aesthetic observation between "preface to painting landscape" and "Xu Hua",as well as Wang Wei s inheritance and development of Zong Bing s idea of unrestrained spirit in landscape painting and his meditation and backwash on the outlook of form and spirit.
