A Study Of The Features Of Writing About The Ancestors’ Origin In The Chronicles From Han Dynasty To Tang Dynasty

The chronicles of official history records emperors’ life stories,ancestors’ origin is a necessary part of the chronicles.Writing of the ancestors’ origin in the chronicles is not invariant.From a macro perspective,the main feature of writing shows that,the ancestors’ origin of emperors descents from Huang-ti,and with the time flows,the ancestors’ origin returns to descript the origins of the ethnic directly.The reasons for that are closely related to ethnic view,political system,collective memory,ideological culture,the theory of cyclic revolution of five virtues and the fate view.This paper focuses on the writing of the official history from the Han dynasty to the Tang Dynasty,and tries to show the change of writing characteristics from dating from Huang-ti to trace ancestral origin straightly,and briefly introduce the writing of the official history from the Five Dynasties to the Qing Dynasty.The first chapter introduces the construction process of the lineage of Huang-ti in the pre-Qin period,and the internal relation among Huang-ti lineage,the theory of the cyclic revolution of the five virtues,and the fate view,which all pave a way for Si Maqian to improve the lineage of Huang-ti.At the same time,the internal logic in the lineage of Huang-ti and the theory of the cyclic revolution of the five virtues and the fate view also provided the ideological preparation for the writing of the ancestors’ origin,which lay the foundation for the development of the theory of the cyclic revolution of the five virtues and the fate view in the Han Dynasty.The second chapter focuses on the content of Shiji and Hanshu,researching the reasons of the formation of the writing characteristics in the ancestors’ origin in the chronicles of official history.The writing feature in Han Dynasty mainly shows the origin is traced by the blood line of Huang-ti.The formation of this writing feature is closely related to the consanguinity politics of state in the family and the ethic view during the Qin and Han Dynasty.The above reasons show that the official history to pay close attention to the tracing of the lineage of Huang-ti in the writing of ancestral history in the chronicles,and at the same time it also requires the content of the theory of cyclic revolution of the five virtues and the fate view.The interaction of the above factors further strengthens the attention to the lineage of Huang-ti.The third chapter focuses on texts of the official history from the Wei,Jin,Southern and Northern Dynasties to the Tang Dynasty,and analyzes the reasons for the formation of the writing characteristics in the ancestors’ origin in chronicles of the official history.In this period,the characteristics of writing began to change,which was manifested in the continuation of the descent of Huang-ti and tracing the ethnic origin directly.The reasons for the formation of the above writing characteristics include the complex ethnic view of this period,the system of demise in the Wei and Jin Dynasties,collective memory shaped by the myth of Huang-ti,and the fate view after being influenced by the system of demise.The chapter’s ending simply analyses the reasons for the preservation of the writing style of tracing the ethnic origin directly in the Five Dynasties to the Qing Dynasty.Based on the discussion of the above content,the research of this article is based on fully combining reference and absorbing related research results of predecessors,and taking the trace of the emperor’s ancestors as a starting point to try to show the book written in the chronicles of official history in Han Dynasty,Wei Jin,Southern and Northern Dynasties to Tang Dynasty,the writing characteristics of the traceability of the ancestral origin of the emperor in its epoch;and further explain the characteristics of the ancestral writing of the trace of the lineage of Huang-ti in the Han Dynasty.From the Wei Jin to the Tang Dynasty,how did it gradually fade down the blood lineage of the lineage of Huang-ti and turn to trace the ethnic origin directly.This paper focuses on the writing of the ancestral source of the history of official history,revealing the progress of the factors influence the writing of history,such like the myth of Huang-ti,political system,collective memory,destiny at various stages of history and so on,has also broken the traditional paradigm of historical research in the past.From the perspective of the overall historical view,it more three-dimensionally displays the rich ideological connotations and ethnic relations in the texts traced back to the ancestors of the epoch of the official period.
