| Since the academic circle experienced a "linguistics" turn in the early 20 th century,an "analytic philosophy" dominated by the North American academia and a European academic circle dominated by the "spiritual philosophy" have emerged."Speech theory" is an important branch of "analytic philosophy",and "error" theory under this theory is a hot topic. In foreign language teaching, scholars generally believe that errors are inevitable in language learning. Before transforming "knowledge" into "language",learners will inevitably produce "errors".According to different error types, teachers will also adopt different "correction" methods.By reviewing the related theoretical research on "error" and "error correction" and the current research situation of oral error correction methods in existing classrooms at home and abroad, this article discusses the oral expressions of senior high school English class students and the teachers’ error correction status in the context of the new curriculum. That is to say,in the teaching, what kind of error correction method the teacher adopts is suitable for the needs of the learners, can promote their enthusiasm in English learning, and improve the oral English level. This study mainly used the form of questionnaire survey and teacher interviews. The questionnaire surveyed the related problems such as the error correction methods used by teachers in oral English teaching in high schools. The basis of the questionnaire design revolves around five basic questions: "whether to correct errors","what needs to be corrected","when to correct errors","who corrects errors" and "how to correct errors".According to the survey, this article finds that there is a certain difference in the ideal error correction methods stated by the teachers and students. The teachers ’teaching concepts are sometimes out of sync with the students’ views.Teachers ’ideal error correction methods tend to focus more on weakening and tolerating errors, while students’ ideal error correction methods tend to be more traditional word correction. Therefore,in the actual teaching, the error correction method adopted by the teacher does not show "consistency" with its ideal method, but has "commensurability".This article also explains this based on the "speech theory".Based on the above survey, this article suggests that teachers can gradually change the concept of error correction in oral teaching in high schools dominated by communicative methods, follow the principles of classroom error correction and consider learners’ acceptance ability, create a good classroom atmosphere, and flexibly choose error correction methods To deal with learner’s spoken errors. |
