Research On The Faithfulness In The Translation Of Notional Words In The Vietnamese Edition Of Chinese TV Drama "Journey To The West"

After the reform and opening-up in China,more and more Chinese prefer to do business in Vietnam.The fact that Chinese films have appeared with the high frequency in Vietnam is also one of the reason why the translation job in this language develop too.“Journey to the West” is always the name achieved the highest rating.And,this is a main element so that the writer makes a decision to choose this film to be a subject for researching.In this thesis,we found out the mistakes in the faithfulness of the translation,concretely about nouns,adjectives,verbs,pronouns,and then,we will give some practical and useful tips for translators.The thesis is divided into 5 chapters;each chapter will be equivalence with each content below:Chapter 1: The introduction in which we present the situation research,the overview documents,the purpose and meaning of the study,the research scope,and some considerable methods for translation.The subject to study deeply is the film“Journey to the West” in Vietnamese translation.Chapter 2 :the meaning faithfulness of notional words(nouns,verbs,adjectives,pronouns)in the film “Journey to the West” when film is translated into Vietnamese.there are 1314 issue translation verb,take 42.25% the faithfulness of notional words in this film;256 issue translation adjective,take 8.23% the faithfulness of notional words in this film,990 issue translation noun,take 31.83%the faithfulness of notional words in this film;550 issue translation adjective,take16.6% the faithfulness of notional words in this film。Chapter 3:the function faithfulness of notional words(nouns,verbs,adjectives,pronouns)in the film “Journey to the West” when film is translated into Vietnamese.there are 210 issue translation noun,take 63.06% the faithfulness of notional words in this film;16 issue translation adjective,take 4.804% the faithfulness of notional words in this film,63 issue translation verb,take 18.92% the faithfulness of notional words in this film;44 issue translation adjective,take 13.21%the faithfulness of notional words in this film。Chapter 4: Cause analysis why translators translate into Vietnamese wrong few notional words in the television drama “Journey to the West”.Chapter 5: Some methods that the translators should pay attention,with the aim to limit the mistakes during the process of translation,we propose some suggestion for the translators.I hope that my research of translation have a great benefit...
