Research On The Application Of Mixed Materials In Contemporary Illustration

As an applied art,illustration is not only a visual display,but also a conveyance of information and ideas.The effect that contemporary illustrations can achieve in visual communication is inseparable from the choice and application of creative materials and the media ultimately presented.Proper handling of the relationship between materials and media can bring expression and ideas to illustrations.In recent years,the use of mixed materials in illustration art has become more and more popular.The reasons why illustrators choose to use mixed materials for their creations,and how to balance the relationship between illustration information and materials are issues worth exploring.The author starts with the different presentation media of contemporary illustration works,studies the application forms and performance characteristics of mixed materials in different media,and delves into the reasons and ideas of contemporary illustrators choosing mixed materials for creation.By classifying the attributes of contemporary mixed materials,this paper analyzes the sensory experience brought about by the external color structure and internal metaphors of materials,and the relationship between the use of mixed materials and the thinking of contemporary illustration creation.It is concluded that the mixed materials in contemporary illustration can not only bring sublimation to the work in the texture and spirit of the picture,but also the working method of processing ideas in contemporary illustration creation To sum up,the existence of mixed materials in contemporary illustrations does not simply enrich the picture with physical properties.The true meaning of its existence is to open up fresh creative ideas for the subject matter and interweave stories and emotions with the content carried behind it.
