| The author worked in a rural primary school for a year.In the course of teaching,the author finds that grasping words is very important for students’ English learning.In the current English curriculum,words account for a big proportion in the class.However,there are still many students with many problems with words,especially in judging pronunciation in elementary school English tests;word spelling and spelling errors are apparent.Therefore,in response to this phenomenon,the author tries Phonics to do pupils a favor,which they can have a sense of sound,shape and meaning.Phonics is a teaching method for children popular with English-speaking countries,to teach word spelling and spelling.This method is simple and efficient,and greatly improves pupils’ learning efficiency in a short period of time.It also suits the psychological development of students.So,it is requisite to implement a teaching method--phonics.This study uses Phonics in English classroom to effectively improve students’ phonological awareness in alphabet and letters combination and spelling,based on the theory of learning transfer and Cognitive-developmental theory.It may be easy for students to learn English words.The author attempts to start with the following three questions:1.How did students read words after learning phonics?2.How did students memorize words after learning phonics?3.How did students write words after learning phonics?The author mainly chooses 27 students in Grade 4 in Zhongyuan primary school as research objects in this paper.Due to the limited population,there is just one class.In response to these situations,the article uses the action research method to conduct questionnaire surveys,including interview methods and test methods for fourth grade students.Before the experiment,the author conducts interviews to know the students’ previous English basics,and finds out that students have problems with vocabulary learning;the test methods include pre-test and post-test,which is about phonetic awareness,spelling and spelling to write.In the implementation of teaching,the author uses the observation way to find their problems in class,and teaching progress is adjusted in time.What’s more,a lot of self-practice training are given.In terms of data collation and analysis in this study,we can see that under the guidance of Phonics,students have improved their pronunciation,spelling and spelling significantly.To summarize,phonics method can help students to establish phonological awareness with letter combinations.To a certain extent,it cannot only improve students’ capacity in spelling and spelling words effectively,but also helps students know the sound and meaning in words.Finally,it provides some guidance for rural teachers’ English teaching.Therefore,teachers have new teaching methods,Phonics.And students have their own learning methods and strategies,which can make students English learning more efficient. |
