| This article focuses on Barr’s demonstration and translation of modern European design.By combing the development context of European modern design in the early 20th century,this paper analyzes the changes in European modern design concepts in the process,and this change for Barr’s perception of European modern design.The impact of design.At the same time,this article takes Barr’s "International Style" exhibition,"Machine Art" exhibition and"Bauhaus:1919-1928" exhibition organized and curated by the Museum of Modern Art in New York as the entry points to discuss how Barr can introduce his ideals through these exhibitions.European modernist design,and how the"International Style" shaped by Barr was spread in the United States in this context,thus affecting the development and transformation of American modern design. |
