Under the current trend of information technology,the importance of modern educational technology in teaching is indispensable.Recently,some new technologies such as Moodle and Wiki have appeared in the field of education.In future education,online learning will become an important learning mean.Information technologysupported online teaching requires learners to have a high degree of autonomy and appropriate level of motivation.Especially in English teaching,it is even more challenging for teachers and students.Relevant research has proved that motivation can provide the source of learning and the lasting driving force It is also an important factor in determining learners’ learning effect.However,the English teaching community has only carried out many empirical studies on how to improve the effect of English teaching.In the process of theoretical discussion,the main factors such as teaching content,aims and means are analyzed,but ignores the internal factors such as the psychological feelings,learners’ motivations,attitudes,and classroom participation in the classroom environment.Therefore,this article starts from the learning motivation,takes the Moodle platform as the research environment,based on the actual situation of the H city T middle school,trying to apply the ARCS motivation model to the seventh grade English teaching.The teaching strategies are designed according to the motivation model.Through the one-semester practical teaching,the investigation and analysis of English learning motivation provides a certain reference for improving the status of English teaching in the seventh grade of H City T Middle School.The results show that the use of ARCS motivation model in Moodle environment has no significant change in improving students’ English academic record,but it has positive effects on improving students’ learning motivation,participation and learning interest. |
