In the media age,a good image of the city helps the development of the city.As a third-tier city,Xuzhou’s urban competitiveness is not superior to other cities.Therefore,it is an important task for Xuzhou to make a city image orientation and effective communication and design.This study takes Xuzhou as an object,and intends to conduct an in-depth and systematic discussion from the theoretical perspectives of urban culturology,communications,and advertising.Through the status quo of Xuzhou city image,it analyzes the audience’s evaluation of Xuzhou’s image of the city and the media’s problems in spreading the image of Xuzhou city,and then finds the shortcomings of Xuzhou in the dissemination of the image of the city;and then uses the investigation research,case studies,and comparisons.Research and other methods proposed the dissemination and design of urban images in order to benefit the city’s image construction in Xuzhou.The specific content of this study is divided into six chapters,as follows: The first chapter is the introduction part,which explains the research background and significance of the topic,research summary,theoretical resources,research content,methods,and technical lines;The basic part of the theory mainly explains the connotation of the city image,the scope of the city’s image dissemination and design,and the third chapter analyzes the elements and status quo of the urban image of Xuzhou.The “5W” model of Lasswell is used to describe the status quo of Xuzhou’s urban image dissemination.At the same time,a questionnaire survey of Xuzhou ’ s internal and external audiences is conducted and the results are analyzed.Chapter 4selects Lisbon,Tonglu,and Hangzhou as cities.Image transmission and design cases are analyzed and relevant inspirations are drawn.Chapter 5 proposes urban image communication and design based on the current status of urban image dissemination inXuzhou.The sixth chapter summarizes the full text.Explain the preliminary conclusions of this study,and the limitations of this study and the direction of future research.The study believes that Xuzhou’s urban image dissemination and design should be based on the following perspectives: First,to fully tap the advantages of resources,creative design and dissemination of Han culture;Second,to re-design urban visual symbols,use modern technology to be effective Communication;Third,integrate tourism resources in Xuzhou and open new tourism experiences: research tourism,health tourism,and industrial tourism.
