A Study Of Mengchengshun’s Comment On Drama

Meng Chengshun was an important opera artist in the late Ming Dynasty.He not only made outstanding achievements in his writing,but also made a special comment on the opera in the Ming Dynasty.From the perspective of the combination of "critic —— critic book ",on the one hand,taking Meng Chengshun as the center,on the basis of synthesizing the existing materials,this paper discusses his dual identity of life thought,literary activity,critic and playwright in many aspects;on the other hand,it combs the number and form of criticism,analyzes the content of criticism,analyzes the opera thought and evaluates the opera environment in Ming Dynasty.The thesis consists of four parts: introduction,text,conclusion and appendix,in which the text is divided into four chapters.Introduction,mainly to define the object of study,a brief overview of Meng Chengshun and opera evaluation of the current research situation,clear research methods and significance of this paper.The first chapter,Meng’s opera comments comprehensive theory.This paper analyzes the main body of comment,Meng Chengshun,the object of comment," Selection of Ancient and Modern Famous Drama ",the form of comment and its critical function.The second chapter,Meng Chengshun opera commentary content analysis.From three angles of author,work and method,this paper arranges,induces and studies the content of creation subject,appreciation of works,writing method,text correction and so on.The third chapter,Meng Chengshun comments on the concept of opera.Meng’s opera evaluation points reflected the thought of qu,the overall performance of the "transmission of feelings" as the core of the aesthetic tendency,in the creation of opera to advocate the true character should be done,in the external function of opera to reflect the characteristics of both reason and reason,and adhere to the Yuan as the respect of critical concept.The fourth chapter,Meng’s opera evaluation.From the three angles of comment and Meng’s own opera creation,and the theoretical criticism of opera and the value of Meng’s opera this paper evaluates Meng’s opera comment.Conclusion,and briefly summarize the full text.Appendices,the compilation of "ancient and modern famous drama selected" comments,and other comments in the book of the same name of the play comments.In a word,this article takes "the opera comment of Meng Chengshun" as the research object,through the analysis and research of the subject Meng Chenghun,the content of the comment and the concept of opera,re-explains the significance of Meng’s literary history,and summarizes the value and deficiency of Meng’s opera comment.
